I've spent $600on FB ads and still no sales...

Hi, can you please help?

I'm selling a funny coffee mug on FB. This was one of PPC-Coach's challenges.

I'm running $50 ad sets.

I'm targeting different interests.

Still no sales. I've got ~600 clicks to the landing page in total.

Please help,

Thanks

Not sure what 'challenge' you are referring to. PPC-coach has not been on the forum since 2021 yet you've referenced that member previously, too.

The question becomes how much are you willing to spend to sell a mug?

Thanks for the reply Kay. Sorry for not being clear.

On PPC-Coach's site, there's a funny mug challenge. He teaches his students how to sell funny mugs using Facebook Ads.

Regarding how much I'm willing to spend to sell a mug, Gabriel St Germain said in one of his Facebook Ads YouTube videos that I need at least $2000 for testing different ad sets using Facebook ads.

I'm willing to spend that much but it's frustrating not getting any sales so far.

Once I get more data, I'm going to retarget people who have visited my site in the last 30 days (through the View Content custom audience)

I am going to come at this from a very different perspective... to give you an idea of what could happen.

I am more than guessing you are drop shipping the mug? if that is the case, what is the cost of the mug and how much are you selling it for... and how much is shipping and handling?

What happens if you buy say 12 mugs and have them shipped directly to you? You can then place them on eBay.

With the numbers above cost and shipping/handling I would be able to break out the potential profit for listing on a existing traffic site ( eBay ) vs spending the $600 in ads.

Right now ( and I appreciate the effort ) but you are sitting at a -$600 and that doesnt include your time.

The thing with eBay ( if you geographically can list on the site ) is it will help you fie tue some skills. Headlines, Photos, and Pricing - these skills that are obviously very important on eBay translate directly across to your trying to sell the product with FB ads...its the exact same skill set. The only difference is with eBay, your only paying for fees if you actually sell something, VS paying out of pocket and not selling anything.

The reason I mentioned the PPC Coach time frame is that things change so quickly online. What was a great idea - 'sell funny tshirts and mugs online' - is now a huge business with loads of competition.

Due to that - or perhaps just to sell at all - I think your 'humor' has to target a specific market. Senior citizens, dog people, horse people, various 'trades', etc.

I will say, though, my impression of PPC Coach here was that he knew what he was talking about...so he probably knows a lot more about mugs than I do.
