Should you use your personal social channels to promote your product?

I often see people do this on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram. And though it's been proven that people on social channels (and just in general) prefer interacting with other professionals compared to brand accounts, there are some people who'd rather not use their personal social channels to promote something work related.

Chime in.

  • Social media allows businesses to be in direct contact with target customer. Social media marketing is inexpensive and gives brands instant reach to billions of active users. For these reasons, social media has proven to be one of the most effective channels to promote products online.

You're an influencer, bollocks. Of course you have to use your personal "social media accounts to promote things."

Do influencers even have corporate accounts?

I think some people are afraid to mix both things work and personal life... Why? Maybe worried about what their surroundings think of their businesses or maybe as a way of organizing themselves; IMO doing it this way is a harder route because you're losing that personal touch advantage vs your competition and it's also more work to manage several social media accounts duplicated.

There's a 3rd reason I can think of and that's "build to sell". If you're growing a brand without face it can be easier to sell it. Also, in the advantage side, if you work better in the shadows (nothing shady), then you will be more in your sauce this way

Yes you should, your growth depends on how much efforts you are putting into your business. For example, I am here to promote my blog
    Intresting, isn't it?

Yeah, but this is far from a personal social channel, right?

Yes you can but in a strategic way .Most brands do it in a abrupt way .You should do it not to disrupt or interrupt but to enhance and comment peoples experience .

Yes, you can and should use your personal social channels to promote your product - but with caution. It's important to strike a balance between providing useful content and promoting your product too much. If people feel like you're only using your social channels to push your product, they'll be less likely to follow you or engage with your content.

Instead, try sharing interesting or valuable content that's relevant to your target audience. This will help you build trust and credibility with potential customers, making them more likely to buy from you when the time comes.

No, I don't used my personal account in promoting my website but instead I created a page specifically for the website to target the relevant audience.
