Does Facebook Now Allow Multiple Accounts

I've seen two articles saying Facebook allows more than one account now.

Is this true?

I have two accounts now and there is a menu that allows switching between the two so I assume it is now legal to start a second account.

    From the horse's mouth:

Facebook is a community where people use their authentic identities. It's against the Facebook Community Standards to maintain more than one personal account.
If you want to represent your business, organization, brand or product on Facebook, you can use your personal account to create and manage a Page. Keep in mind that a personal profile is for non-commercial use and represents an individual person.

I have one personal account but several business pages that aren't tied together nor to my account from the public's viewpoint.

The menu is for switching between yourself (your personal page - family, kids, dog, whatever) and business pages.

So they don't allow more than one personal account but one account can have several different pages. Businesses can't have accounts only individuals can. Businesses can have pages, though, which are controlled by the individual's account.

Last July there were several articles about 'multiple profiles on one acct'....and this appeared in Fortune magazine site...

Amid slow user growth and increased competition from rivals, Meta is letting some of its users have multiple profiles on Facebook--breaking away from the "real name" requirement it has had in place since the company first began.

The term 'some of its users' would stop me from making ANY assumptions...and send me back to FB help to see what is happening.

    There was this also

    https://www.cnet.com/news/social-media/facebook-is-testing-a-way-to-add-multiple-profiles-to-an-account/

There is a button now for switching between profiles/accounts so I wonder if it is now allowed.

That is from last July - by now it should easily be IN THE TOS of Facebook.

So I did a google search for 'multiple profiles on Facebook' insted of 'multiple accounts' (not the same thing).

    Here is what I found....

There were other good links using the same multiple profile query.

ONLY Facebook can answer this. Taking someone's 'opinion' that "I think it's OK" won't save your acct if that person is guessing.
