YouTube tries out 'super likes'
YouTube is testing a way to incentivise live stream donations using Super Chat likes.
This Super Chat will enable viewers to like Super Chats within the stream.
Super Chat is available in livestreams and Premieres, and enables viewers to buy Super Chats or an animated Super Sticker. This is highlighted with a different background colour in the video stream.
YouTube explains:
With this feature, Google expects streamers to respond to popular comments; this will also give commenters a new way to engage with streamers.
