A new video feed for LinkedIn

LinkedIn's currently testing a new dedicated in-app video feed. This shows a TikTok-esque, full screen format that leans into the vertical video trend.


While this feature isn't available to everyone on LinkedIn, does it actually make sense for the platform to have a video feed? Are there enough business-related content that make sense? That are actually attractive and viral?

    There is a lot of video content being shared now on Linkedin. Some videos are from trade shows. Others are promoting a new technology. A video in the link below is an example, of what is showing up lately. (Disclaimer I have nothing to do with this company) I think it makes sense for Linkedin to try it out.

    Videos make sense but the format does not.

    LinkedIn can do whatever they want, but IMO they should
    use the same video format across their websites and be
    consistent.

    Their LinkedIn Learning format is widescreen 16:9, so if
    you're enrolled in a course and then go to another area
    of the site like somebody's profile page, you will need to
    flip your phone around and that's inconvenient.

    I prefer horizontal videos on my phone, also to read or
    text, I don't care for portrait mode at all. And most of the
    videos that I produce are widescreen.
