YouTube gets shopping display tools and affiliate partnership updates

The video platform has announced new in-stream shopping tools that is expected to present new revenue opportunities for YouTube creators.

Let's start with Shopping Collections. This new feature will enable creators to curate products from their preferred brands.



As on the screen snip above, creators can build a display of whatever products they love. Creators can also include their own products when applicable.



Also, YouTube has a new Affiliate Hub that will help creators find the latest list of Shopping partners. Creators should be able to scroll through a list of possible affiliate partnerships which they can apply to.

    YouTube is copying TikTok with this store business, which
    is fine, but I think that YouTube should be the innovators,
    not the copiers.

    If it's something that generates more income for its users,
    I think it's fantastic! But will the video viewers be interested,
    that is the big question.
