YouTube Shorts has some new thumb frame editing options

If you're a Shorts creator, you can now your Shorts thumbnail frame post upload. Now you can add text and filters to any image you're editing.

As seen on the screenshot above, you can choose a frame for your Shorts thumbnail, and add any text or filter as you deem fit. You can't upload custom Shorts thumbnails, however.

    These are still quite basic compared to Tiktok, Instagram and Snapchat. YouTube needs to integrate more features, especially text options.

    this is the best option for YouTubers. this is a crazy option given by YouTube to YouTubers. YouTubers do not go to other websites. do not download other apps to edit and make thumbnails.

    Adding text is pretty straightforward, and I even managed to add an emoticon when I pasted it from Notes. Half a dozen font options are available, too.

    But how do you guys add filters? When I clicked on the button, there was nothing available under it.

    This update is great for Shorts creators! Being able to edit thumbnails after uploading and add text or filters enhances customization and engagement. However, the inability to upload custom thumbnails is still a limitation. Hopefully, YouTube will introduce that option in the future. What are your thoughts?
