Why Pinterest stop sending traffic to my post after adding affiliate links?

Hi everyone,

I have a website where I publish cooking recipes articles
I don't want to monetize the website using ads networks I prefer monetize it using affiliate marketing
I took one of the best performing articles and I included 3 affiliate links in the ingredients paragraph
I included the Amazon affiliate disclosure in the same paragraph
Once I did this my article stop getting any outbound clicks on Pinterest
People keep saying that you should not put affiliate links directly on Pinterest and that you should drive traffic to your website where you include affiliate links
But I never succeeded to achieve this

I need advice from people who tried successful methods Pinterest+Affiliate links

Thank you so much in Advance!

    Yes, you are marketing backwards!

What is the point of having the website or blog if you are
going to place your affiliate links directly on Pinterest?

Put the affiliate links on your website and link to the site
    from Pinterest.

Make sure your website has a GREAT domain name.

Use AI to make your Pins.

This is not brain surgery, just do it the correct way,
otherwise it's not going to work.

If you weren't able to make this work before then you
need to keep working and stop making excuses!

Making money online takes actual WORK!!!

Well firstly nowadays majority of social media dont like affiliate people

Second pinterest like other socials they want people to spend money on ads instead of getting free traffic from their platform

It likely happened because adding multiple affiliate links directly into your ingredients list created a poor user experience, this causes visitors to quickly leave your site, signaling to Pinterest's algorithm that your content is low-quality or "spam" which leads to it stop showing your pin,i will recommend you move the affiliate disclosure to the top of the post and integrate your links more naturally, then, you must then create several new, "fresh pins" with brand new images and descriptions for that same URL

Pinterest says you can include the Amazon affiliate link in pins (the long link, not the short one).

Oh, I've had something similar) I noticed that Pinterest is really sensitive to direct affiliate links in pins. When I started driving traffic first to my own website, and only then placed affiliate links there (even small text blocks with disclosures), the traffic started coming through again. Maybe try tweaking your approach a bit and "smooth out" the affiliate links inside your articles instead of pinning them directly

Pinterest usually drops reach if a top recipe post suddenly becomes too affiliate focused.
Try moving links lower in the article and upload a fresh pink for the update that often restore traffic.

Pinterest's algorithm may flag the change as spam, especially if the affiliate link is cloaked or directly linked without unique, high-quality content on your site. Ensure full transparency and value-added content.
