How To get Likes Fast On Facebook?

Currently my facebook page only have about 39 likes. This page was created 4 months ago therefor this is not acceptable. I need more likes but don't really know how i should go about getting them.

Please Share your best method(s) that you use to get facebook likes.

I saw a couple gigs on fiverr.com offering 500 like for $5.00.
Is this possible and is this safe?

Whether its safe or not kind of depends on why you want likes on your page. If you wnat a custom URL, it does not matter where your likes come fomr. If you really want to sell something to a particular group of people and all your likes are form some entirely different geographic area or demographic segment, you might have a credibility issue.

I suspect that many people are looking for likers who are similar to themselves. I don't know that, I am just surmising here. But aht is what social sites are all about in general. Liking things that somebody you can relate to likes.

If you just want a custom URL, get the fewest amount of likes you can to get that. Then work on offering something of value so others will like you.

More like the sour smell of someone who prefers indulging in a snide, sarcastic comment instead of offering anything remotely helpful, or just keeping his mouth shut-often the best option. The OP's reply was right on target, but much too nice imo-content isn't everything and he wants to learn marketing. His question wasn't an invitation to take a cheap shot.

I disagree with the OP that the comment was "on point"-except it had the word "like" in it. I agree that it wasn't helpful.

Having great content is no assurance that lots of people will see it and even if they like it, many will need an incentive to hit the like button. Lots of marketers seem to do well using bait like a free report or video that you can only get by liking the page. That is a far cry from just "making something people like". If it was just about good content, nobody would need marketing to sell stuff, and the Warrior Forum wouldn't exist in it's present form. It would just be a forum about how to create "likeable" content.

You may want to think a little more seriously about what Rich said.
Marketing Skills may get people to your page, but it's the content that will keep them there. Also if you don't have content that people like, all the inflated likes you add to your page aren't worth squat.
Think about it, what keeps you on any web page you visit?
Is it because someone else likes it or is it the content.

What Rich did was state the obvious. I mean so obvious that you'd have trouble finding a Warrior in 1000 who doesn't already know that he needs good content. To most Warriors, saying "have content people like" is as helpful (or insulting) as telling a surgeon in training that "living patients are not to be dismembered-probably that should apply to dead ones as well-the families tend to get upset when handed a Dexter bag containing their loved one for convenient carry-out".

We all know that is a pre-requisite to any successful info marketing campaign; you need content that people want and/or need.

However, most of us know also that having the best content in the world won't help if you don't market it well. In all direct marketing, the key element is the call to action-everything else in your marketing funnel is to increase the # of people that arrive at the call to action, and then get as many as possible to take that action. On a squeeze that would be a sign-up, but on Facebook, it's usually a "like".

The OP stated that he wants to get more people to "like" his page. The flip and sarcastic comments he got from a some people didn't mention anything about a call to action. Basic marketing says that you have to ask people to take the action you want them to take-not just put great stuff in front of them and hope they do it.

Another basic marketing principle is that your call to action needs to answer the question always in every prospect's mind: "what's in if for me?" The sarcastic, flip comments failed to mention that-in fact, they implied you don't need a call to action, just good content.

The OP deserves better than being mislead into believing that the people who are getting rich from Facebook promos are doing it just by putting great content on their page and waiting for the button pushers. The people who are doing well are enticing visitors with a some of their great content, and locking the rest of it behind the like button-thus combining great content with great marketing, and easily answering "what's in it for me, if I click?" Even so, they have to state that "when you click the like button, you will get access to this valuable video that shows you more details about how to get rid of that unsightly head-fat..."

Some people just can't resist the urge to take a shot at someone they think knows less than them, because he was brave enough to ask for help from the masters of sarcasm.

First off Greg I waasn't being sarcastic I was stating a fact.
You assume everyone knows you need great content, but that is simply not true. If it was there wouldn't be a ton of crappy websites out there.

I can understand wanting more likes on a page. I can even understand inflating the likes with 'fake' likes from fiver.
But if the content isn't there what good is it?

Also ease off the caffeine, you're getting way to touchy (now that's sarcasm)

      LOL, TELL EM!

He's got a good point though man. If you have a great offer, people will naturally come to it and share it thus making it go viral. A great way to do this could be by using some of the referral software out there today like the Good Karma List Machine or List Machine Pro.

Basically, when someone leaves a comment on your WP blog, it pulls their email and adds them to your list. Then on the next page, you give a little video message saying that if they refer just 3 people to your site using that link below and get them to leave a comment you will get another really cool free gift.

Thats a great way to force your stuff to go viral but again, it all comes down to the offer...

What you can do, is suggest to all of your friends as soon as you get around 100 likes on your page, run a facebook PPC to only to the peoples friends who "LIKE" your page

its known as social proof or something like that when making your ad. This shows your fans friends that they like your page so they should to basically...

you can always go on fiverr and pay for them or Microworkers

This is by far the best method I've seen work. If you create some type of quality free content and only give it away if they tell 10 of their friends about it, you'll get results. There's some scripts written by some people in the WSO section that you can purchase for pretty cheap.

It's possible, but due to the way Facebook's algorithm works, it's not recommended. According to statements I've read directly from Facebook, this will hurt you in the long run. Here's why:

Let's face it, when you pay 5 bones for 500 likes, you're not going to get devoted fans - you're going to get generic accounts that have no people behind them - accounts specifically created for the purpose of liking others.

So let's take your case - you have 39 fans. You blast out a wall post. 2% of your face respond. Based on this, the FB algorithm makes you x times more popular or unpopular.

Now let's say you just added 500 generic (non people) likes. You blast out a wall post. The same 2% of your fans respond (from your 39 real fans). Only your percentage will now be based on 539 people. Thus, FB's algorithm places you at the very bottom of the "Top News" on the homepage, making your posts very hard to see.

Of course, this isn't the Gospel here, I'm just going what I read in an official FB post a while back.

Facebook's algo is an identical copy of high school popularity. Not a joke, it actually is: If a lot of people "like" your posts (as in being popular in high school), more of your friends will see you on their homepage.

Same thing if you get a lot of comments (as in having a lot of friends in high school). It equals premium placement of your wall posts.

You can also lose popularity really fast, just like in high school, if you disappear from the limelight. Skip on posting for 4-5 days, and you actually have to "prove" yourself to the algo again, by showing thru several new posts that people will like you/comment on you.

It's hysterical I think. And sort of sad at the same time.

Do a bit of article marketing on your subject. In the resource box, instead of putting in a link to a website, link it to your Facebook fan page.

This totally acceptable according to EZA guidelines.

Check that out. It'll be targeted likes too, as only people who are interested to know more will click through the link in the resource box. Chances are these people will "Like" your page in order to get any updates put straight to their news feed.

    All the best.

I would promote it alongside your blog or website. Offering a like button on your blog and then promoting it much as you would your list on your site. There for if you get likes at least you know they are good likes that the people are actually worth something instead of just being some random Facebook account that was just made for someone else to make money on sites like Fiverr. Honestly just make sure your Fan Page is visible from your blog/website and promote it through giving away special things that only people who like your page can get.

        We don't need to.

There's a secret Skype group where everybody friends everyone else in the group and you just toss in your URL and say "likes please" or "thanks please" or "RT please" and everyone goes to your link and does that.

When you're cool enough, someone will invite you. All you have to do while you're waiting is be nice to people, try to help when you can, and don't be a dick.

Okay, there actually is no secret Skype group. But if you do that, people will like you and want to hang out with you, and you'll end up in one of some eighty million such groups where they do exactly that just because everyone in there is...

        Wait for it...

        FRIENDS.

        OMFG can you believe it?

Be nice, try to help, don't be a dick, and you'll make... friends.

Who will friend you on FB and like your status.

Who will watch you on WaFo and thank your posts.

Who will follow you on Twitter and RT your tweets.

        Holy wow. It's that easy.

The quickest way to get "targeted" Facebook likes is with Facebook ads that are targeted to your target audience.

Twiends sucks, and so do all of the similar sites. Sure, you might get a bunch of likes, but they're going to be from people that don't give a damn about your page and only joined Twiends to get likes for their own page, from other people that don't give a damn about their pages and only joined Twiends to get likes for their pages.

I'd take your current 39 likes over 500 likes from Twiends any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

It's the same story with Fiverr gigs, only worse. Many of them use clickjacking scripts and many of the people that end up liking your page never even know they liked your page, and then they'll get pissed and report you as spam when they see your posts in their news feed.

Another good way is to find people that are talking about your niche on Twitter and guide them to your Facebook page. A good FB/Twitter tag-team strategy can be really effective.

Twiends does not suck if you use it right.

You need to market the right stuff on twiends and you will get relevant traffic from there. People on twiends are looking for one thing and that is fans, if your fanpage is about getting fans and marketing on facebook you will get quite a decent conversion if done right.

Thanks for the lightbulb moment. I was just looking at it from the standpoint of niche marketing or local business marketing, not from a marketing on Facebook standpoint. I'm sure that would be effective if done right.

Here is what you can do

    1) Find relevant facebook pages/groups and advertise your page on theirs, through comments on their status. Say something about their status then plug your page. Just write "@" and start typing your page, it will come up and it will be a clickable link.

    2) Use Facebook Ads

    3) Create a Twitter in the same name, set an auto-welcome message directed to the facebook page. I find it easier to get twitter followers than facebook likes/fans and a lot of them will go to your facebook.

      Nic,

      Here's my suggestions.

->> You should consider the 2 great gems above suggested by James.
Implement it. Works well for me.

->> No matter how jumpy Greg Guitar seems to be, what he said is very true.
Make Great Content -> Do Marketing -> Have Call-to-Action -> Sales

Time consuming but effective way - Use your fb page in your email signature, on your visiting card, with business name.

Slowly but definitely, it'll give high relevancy results.

Why would you want a bunch of random untargeted people connected with your facebook page? What's the point, they are never going to read your posts?

The only good idea is the facebook ads because at least you can choose the demographic of people and somewhat target what you are doing..

Keep updating your Business Page with regular post that might attract people to click the LIKE.

I don't recommend those $5 works. Just ask yourself, how much work can you do for $5? Doesn't sound genuine.

I believe he wanted "targeted" likes, not just people that are only liking his page to get seed credits so other people will like their pages.

P.S. I believe it's against the rules to have affiliate links in your signature (or Hostgator affiliate coupon codes).

Fiverr does work for likes, but if your going for numbers - that's the case.
If you want real friends and fans, it's best to do it manually. Share your link
in everything you do, create value first, give away first in return for a like.

Use Twitter, your blog, your email list, youtube etc. Offer contest or create
a free report that people will get only after they like your page. Give them a
reason and they will. And most importantly, engage with others in your market,
it takes time and effort. Post comments on their status, it's usually when you
show love, you get it back. Give a like, get a like

Read the TOS. Or I'll save you the trouble. You can't promote yourself or anything you are selling in your post-this is a discussion forum, not a spam board. If you want to advertise, go to the appropriate forum, or do it with your sig, and you can't get around it by posting "check my sig".

If you aren't sure where your ad belongs, look through all the paid advertising options-most likely yours belongs on Warriors For Hire, but you could probably figure out a way to make it into a WSO.

The key is, if you didn't pay to start the thread, asking for business is spamming, except in your sig.

I do apologise, though all I was doing was offering help.

A place like Fiverr offers cheap and low quality likes. A lot are clickjacked and many are fake. I said check my sig as i offer a high quality service here on the forum, which I have paid to offer here. Its better to use someone who will offer a good service than even THINKING of using a site like Fiverr.

Anyway, noted in my memory for the future

A good way to get FB likes is to create screen-capture videos of value in your marketplace and people them know to LIKE your page for more great content. This gets you genuinely interested fans. If you do your keyword research before hand, you may be able to get the video ranked well for highly searched terms / phrases.

You could buy likes for social proof, but there's no way you'll generate income from them. In the end, it's not about how many likes you have, it's about how effectively you can monetize the fan following.

Here's a video I put together on another way to get quality FB LIKES through strategic commenting.

I almost always reccommend the page to all of my friends on facebook, which usually gets me about 100 likes in a week. After that, all you have to do is run a facebook ppc campaign to get those likes.

I have also heard that you can outsource to freelancer or odesk.

Hey there, My suggestion is you try twiends.com. It worked for me so I believe it can work for you too. Its a system whereby you like other people stuff and in turn, you get credits which you can offer people to like your page. Don't get surprised if you get 1000 real genuine likes by 2 days and you can also specify from where you want the likes to come from.

The most effective approach is by creating something that people would like. It is also a good idea to target a specific group of people that would most likely have some interest to your page. So if your page is about a "band", extend to those music lovers and promote your page to them.

    Fun thread.

Slightly off the beaten path but still related: I just started a Facebook page to help provide more resources and inspiration for us to give back to the world. It got up to 70 likes pretty quick. You can figure out the psychology behind that for yourselves but I just wanted to throw it out there. We're not getting anything out of it. I don't post any commercial links on the page or requests for money. The goal is to simply connect up all the positive resources/sites/information out there that can help people change their own lives for the better as well as the lives of others. I'd love it if you guys would consider linking to it and helping me spreading the word:

However, you have, and will receive many suggestions and advice from fellow Warriors. So take them to heart and get while the getting is still good.

I got 100 real facebook fans by running a targeted classified ad on facebook itself. I ran the ad from 6/7/2011 - 6/12/2011. All the ad said is "Click like if you love to Enjoy an Espresso". I use CPM not CPC and used a $50 facebook coupon. Of it I spent a total of $21.26 to acquire the fans.

    Hello,

Formerly, our company always outsourced all orders to suppliers who provide FB fans. But we got tired of such methods like Twiends, Fiverr and clickjacking scripts and developed our own service for getting FB fans.

Please, check this link We vote! Don't let others speak for you. Go vote, go wild!

It's a kind of a voting system – a website where people can vote for something or somebody. In vote buttons we integrate ‘Like’ button and connect fan pages to them, those fan pages we need fans for. Then we create advertising campaign on Facebook – ads with text and banner that redirect people to our voting pages. The main point here that using FB ads we can get real worldwide fans as well as super targeted visitors (we can target by country, age, gender, interests, education, career, etc.).

Actually we are still testing this service but it has already showed perfect results. If you want to take part, I can accept some orders and will charge only for advertising on Facebook (not more than $20-$30 per 1000 global fans).

    Best Regards,
    Yaros.
