What's the best Social Media Sites for Traffic (Besides Facebook, Google + and Twitter)

We all know that the best Social Media Sites for Traffic would be Facebook, Twitter and Google + (you pick the order they come in). But who is next. Is there a new start up site that gets traffic now that Digg is on it's final legs. I used to get 1-3 people from StumbleUpon. Now, if I want new traffic, I try reddit, but you cant go to that well often or they'll ignore your links. Never had any success with Fark. Oh and I get plenty of traffic from YouTube.

So for me, Reddit would be #1 - but I havent figured out the rules yet to use it consistently and not get ignored.

    Hi,

Pinterest has grown popular very quickly and can send you traffic if done correctly. Like all these sites, they will come and go, so don't bank too much on any one of them for too long.

I have to say I've heard a lot of noise about Pinterest so much in fact that I'm thinking about taking some time in the next few days to really learn as much as I can about this new site.

I am getting repins on Pinterest with no problem, but I am not seeing the traffic. No real success with StumpbleUpon and Digg except for the backlink I guess. That's why I like reddit. I was wondering like the earlier poster said if there was a new site I didnt know about yet.

Some of my clients are getting great traffic results with pinterest while some others aren't doing so well. From my experience I think it depends on what you're promoting as to whether or not pinterest will work for you. Same for facebook and twitter.

Is anyone seeing traffic from google+ ?

I have has an immense amount of traffic from both stumbleupon and pinterest. These two websites bring in 25% of my traffic. Stumbleupon in particular is a great way for targeted traffic. If you get enough people to stumble and like you website you will be in traffic heaven!

Pinterest is next in line, but i wonder how soon the next "social media grail" will come up next. I guess it's just a matter of staying on top of the marketplace, and going with what's hot... along with a sound, non-social marketing plan to back everything up.

Linkedin bring me super HIGH-QUALITY traffic to my business website (not traffic that you will monetize with adsense/affiliate, but REAL business by sell services to people).

In addition, many of my friends succedd with traffic from Pinterest, but I've never tried. However, it might be worth trying.

Pintrest is great. It's users spend an abnormally high amount of time interacting with content they find there.

Stumbleupon is pretty good. If you have a little money to spend you can get some dirt cheap (5 cent) relatively targeted traffic.

Instagram is pretty good if you have something image based to post. You can install apps on you browser to make it really easy to shre images from instagram to pintrest as well.

Google Plus is an emerging behemoth that is set to rock the social media scene.

Facebook and twitter are Must Haves.

Reditt is pretty good as well. Targeted traffic that typically has a higher than average time on page(AT least on my site) Also good for cheap, targeted traffic.

Linkedin is great if you have B2B products as well.

Empire Avenue is something I recommend to anyone starting up social media profiles. It is a great way to get basic analytics from your different social properties. Plus you can use it to force some shares, comments, likes, etc if that is your thing.

YouTube is crucial to virtually any business. Although I would diversify to Vimeo and Dailymotion as well if you are going to go the video route.

The different blogging sites like wordpress, blogspot/blogger, and tumblr cant hurt either. tumblr is especially useful if you already have images.

If you have images you might as well get onto flickr as well. Yahoos version of instagram more or less.

The key to social media is that you have to stay consistent. otherwise you are just wasting your time. Also make sure that you are diversifying your content types.

About 1/3 your content, 1/3 curated content that your visitors are interested in, and 1/3 question or some form of interaction with your followers.

    Hope this helps

What type of service or product are you offering? After reading up about your question, I found that Twitter, fb, and g+ are all great social media sites for almost any business thanks to the generality. Once you get into things like reddit, linkedin, or pinterest, you're significantly narrowing the population that will be seeing information about your website. I'll add of of the quicker articles I read- good luck
