Selling on facebook? Do they even have rules?

I don't understand why it is so difficult to contact facebook. I set up a Payvment store using the app recently and i wanted to ask facebook these questions.

Some third party store listers don't require https: from buyers and you don't have to do anything only list the items and take paypal payments... is this even legit?

Since you can remain anonymous (hide behind your fanpage) you could make a facebook page in any name to run your store via the fanpage.. does facebook (as ebay for example would) come looking for proof of address and name or do they care??

Who the hell can i talk to about selling on facebook, i already know the "how tos" but they have no support for asking these questions?! I have a business name and trying to take this seriously but facebook are really letting me down, i don't know what to make of it to be honest.

Thank you for any info on this. Appreciated.

Probably because they don't want to have one billion people contacting them.

I don't know their policy about that either but something tells me you're probably not permitted to run an ecommerce platform directly from their pages. Nothing about this in their T&C?

Facebook is a different animal. Sending them to a sales page, squeeze page or anything else as far the traditional method of selling is not going to work there.

I would suggest that you write a report and half way through the report send them anywhere you like. They are not going to Op-in, period. Don't make the make the mistake of thinking that the people on Facebook aren't interested in your story.

They want to know something about you before they do business. Remember, its not what you think its about what they think.

That makes very good sense, i am working on it, obviously this is a bit different from ebay/amazon selling even though i am selling physical products.
