How do you find largest/most influential Facebook Pages in a niche?

None that I know. But you can type the niche you want on Facebook's Search bar/box and it'll recommend/show list of pages regarding that niche. You'll just have to check each of them who got the highest number of likes.

Unfortunately, Facebook's search is rather limited, I find.
I tend to use Google with keyword then site:<facebook> Its not ideal I know.

What is important here is all about the type of your niche. I know one of friend's strategy to find out the perfect facebook page. He has a site based on web developing. His main target is to find out the customer those who need a website for their business. He created a facebook page. Now he is getting client.

There was a rumour that FB were talking to developers about creating their own search engine hopefully that wont be to far away. Would be a great idea for an app developer though.

I would do a simple search on Facebook, next check out the quantity of facebook likes, but most importantly if they are active members on the page.

I absolutely agree with "Player87" For about $30 you can get now more than 10k Fans, so quality is more important than quantity. Just check the pages for spam, or if they are active or not.

You know, I was thinking of the tool idea recently myself. I usually just manually go on, search the term, find the quality pages with a lot of people and posts and then the rest is history.

Somebody should make a WSO for a tool, I can see that having a lot of potential. To me, the search on Facebook seems a little iffy sometimes so it'd be neat to have an organized tool, broken down by category, that automatically updates whenever a page is made with that specific theme/keyword.

PostGuru tracks some of the top 500 Facebook pages and has clustered them in categories. Maybe this list might prove helpful.

I'm a writer for a company in a niche tech market. Usually I'll use the facebook graph search to find what i'm looking for. You can actually be very specific with it. Anything from "people named eric who are 35 and live near toronto" to "groups with the words market research in the title". It seems to work out pretty well for me.

Can you be more general with it as I'm not looking for individuals. More looking for just large groups in particular niches.
