How to grow a "funny picture" fan page?

Hey

I need some help here please..

I have a "funny pictures" website and also I have a fan page connected with the website. Now I have around 3000 fans but the growing is very slowly, and these fans are from some status updates I've bought on other pages.

I've seen similar pages growing like crazy from day to day but this is not happening to my page...

Please don't tell me to publish quality content because I already do that and my fans are very involved with shares, likes comments and so on...

Here's what I already did

I have a contest on the website for people who likes us on facebook
I have a "fan of the week" section with prizes
I've bought status updates on several other pages and still do
I have Mgid and 2leep for traffic exchange

I've tried promoted posts (works well) and fb ads (too expensive)
What to do to accelerate the likes?

    Sounds like you're already doing everything that you should be. Do you tell people to like your Facebook page in each post and add the URL to that page on every image?

    Have you tried just using the Facebook advertising?

    If you start today you can definitely launch a successful campaign for the recent election.

    Example

    Message - "Like if you voted for Obama" , with a funny picture of him to the side.

    I think if you give it time, it'll probably grow on its own .... funny pictures are all the rage nowadays ..... just take a look at 9gag

    If i were you, in every day life, there are funny quotes or situation with our friends, workmates and even family members... create a picture out of it and then post it to your fan page and then drive traffic to your website.. note, picture is not need to be decent.. u dont need skills to do this..

    important there is what the picture's message.. just my two cents..

    FB ads are too expensive? Facebook ads are one of the cheapest ways to get Likes. You said you're running contests on your website for Facebook fans. You need to run a FB contest on your actual FB page and run ads for the contest. If you make a great ad, you'll be able to get your CPC down considerably (under $0.10/click). For image heavy FB fan pages, this is actually pretty easy to do. I'm getting a $0.01 CPC for one of my campaigns right now.

    If it's funny enough to like and share by enough people, the chain reaction will grow. Then once that page with that picture is popular enough, you may be able to throw a little bit of marketing in there.

    Hi there! If you've done the advertising, in facebook and other social media, then you've done the first step. If you already have fans/people who like your page, treasure them by regular updates on your page. If your people like your posts, they will share it and other people would know. Sometimes, you just have to wait for a greater result. It is not a one time process though.

    Just keep quality posts and you can reach your target goal as time pass by.

    I have a funny picture website that I have linked to a fanpage. So far I promote the funny pics on pinterest. I haven't seen anyone mention that yet, people repin my funny pics all day long. Great free traffic and pinterest works hand in hand with facebook.
