Do you have multiple Facebook accounts?

If so, what, if anything, do you do to keep from having one or all of them deleted/banned?
#accounts #facebook #multiple

Well, of course it's against FB's TOS to have multiple accounts, so I can only hypothesize on this...

I guess in order not to get deleted or banned, they'd have to not do anything spammy or gross. Perhaps have a few friends of their own, post links and share, y'know, stuff that "real" accounts would do.

If you want to have multiple accounts on FB for your business. Make sure that you use different IP addresses in internet connections.

Before login into an account, clear cookies of your browser previously and use another IP address.

Or you use a proxy service. This way cannot work perfectly.

I have multiple accounts on FB. 1 personal and 2 fake accounts I use to market my affiliate products. Being that the 2 fake accounts are not really me but 2 hot chicks I posted from images I found on google images, you'd be surprised how quickly I developed hundreds of male friends with these pic. Men try to talk to me but don't even realize its another guy they're talking to! I've been building them up slowly adding about 5 friends a day so FB doesnt get wind of it. I've had them about 2 years now and I'm sure I've managed some sales from them. Go FB!

Facebook makes some temporary suspension on accounts which they detect as "fake". If you have been suspended, they have some test to give you a chance to identify yourself by answering questions and identifying your friends from the picture they are showing.

You can have multiple fb accounts as long as you didn't violate their "terms of Service". Do not post spammy content. Just like Google+, they have business page for those contents. If you want to market your product/service, make sure you also have the FB business page.

I have multiple accounts in Facebook as well. I have 2 fake accounts, one for a guy and one for a not so hot chick like what Trafficbot has. But it is true that you get more friend requests if your a woman rather than a man. I approve friend requests about 3-5 daily for both accounts. I normally just post what I normally post on my personal account.

I even post using my mobile or a tablet just to show that it is being used by a "normal" person. I change profile pictures as well and create albums.

I created them a year or so ago and I did manage to generate sales through it.

And no, I do not use proxies.

As a marketer/promoter, you can make multiple accounts. About the TOS, what I mean is that without being detected and suspected as fake or unreal.
On other promoters, most of my team members suffers from suspension because of they frequent postings of promotional post or tweets that marked as spam.

I have those accounts for a year and none of them are suspended nor banned. It's because I work using them naturally and interacting to show that a real person is behind them. I do also make friends and reputation on those accounts.

LOL! I can very well relate to this. It's what I did when I started marketing for a few sites. But right now I needed just more than 3 accounts for different clients so what I did is to hire someone to set up accounts (which of course has different IP and that's how it will help me from getting banned) but maintaining the page and posts I do it. I just make sure it looks real and posts shouldn't look spammy

      Hope this makes sense...

There are many Facebook program in marketing can help you to manage multiple accounts, save proxy and cookies for each account which can protect your accounts away from roadblock and disable. for example: Facebook FriendAdder Pro

Why? Seriously think about it, how many households have more than one person using the same computer? All signed up to facebook. Unless your creating an unreasonable number of accounts you should be fine.

Because they are have different purpose, they use Facebook not as for the marketing. No problem, if they use the same IP address.

But.... you want to have multiple accounts for marketing purpose, I suggest you use different IP addresses in internet connection for safer.

I have multiple facebook accounts and fanpages, so far I didn't get banned (well fortunately)..maybe because I got them all updated from time to time. Making it more real than fake so its really important to log in to all of these accounts from time to time. If you don't have enough time spending on updating accounts you can always outsource it. Besides the ROI of having accounts and fanpages are really big and worth more than the time being spent on maintaining all of the accounts.

There are different reasons to have more than one account. For instance one can be your professional FB account. One you can link to employers when they want to know about you. Though I would suggest going onto linkedin to make a Professional profile to show employers.

Then you can have a friends FB account. Which is what I have, though it's under a false name.

I have more than 15, with thousands of friends on each of them, but never get blocked any of them. Facebook check your IPs only suring the registration, so you will need different IPs only during registration, but it doesn't matter if you login to more than one (or 10) account from the same IP.

Imagine the public networks, for examaple in schools where 50-100 or even more account logged in daily, and it's all from the same network.

By not doing anythig spammy to some extent we can keep us from having getting deleted or banned. However, the control is not fully in our hands. It is in facebook's hands. Let us say suddenly one day Facebook decides to ban all the accounts that it suspects to be duplicated...and on that day what if Facebook deletes even the authentic account which one uses?

Like Kevin, I have a couple of accounts, one is for my online marketing/social media business. The second is for my offline business.

I tend to manage both either, individually, or through hootsuite.com but never on the same day. I tend to agree with Kevin a bit about it takes time to make sales, however, I have found it depends on how often you post and what you post about, which makes the diference.

I do generate sales and exposure though, through my social media channels, compared to my offline business, by which I mean, I use attraction marketing for my online buisness and generate 4 or 5 good quality leads per day, compared to 4 or 5 leads per week with my offline business.

I have to admit when I've made a mistake, so I will do that publicly here! I actually started a separate profile for marketing purposes only...I really don't believe in mixing business and family, so basically my main profile was holding me back from adding value to my networking friends....that lightbulb only came on a few days ago, but it's the best move I've done...facebook wise, that is. Now, I'm totally relaxed about marketing and not having the fear that aunt Bunny is going to label me in an unflattering light! lol

  • I have several accounts on Facebook. None are deleted, banned or have any violations. There are rules to follow!

Do not ADD friends, make them ADD you!
Heres a screenshot that i JUST took now :
    http://s30.postimg.org/du7f1eefl/sec.png

guess how many of those people I added? NONE
This is a secondary profile. there is a process FB uses to determine if youre spamming. basically you are allowed to add another person as a friend as long as you have engaged in messages prior to clicking one "add friend" otherwise your daily limit should be nothing over THREE friends per day. The script I use to add lots of friends (when I used to do this for each account I had) goes something like:

"hey i see we have a lot of friends in common. what is that you do?" " oh cool! would it be ok if i added you as a friend too?"

keep it simple. other than that... don't start group spamming and you should be ok. In the first month that the account is active FB watches you like a hawk so just be extra careful. One last thing... FB ads account... if you wanted to make a secondary ADs account.. use an alternate VERSION of your own name and ue a different card to link up and voila. I've had no issues with THREE different ads accounts. Good luck!

    P.S.
It helps to have a phone # for each account too =)

If you admit to having more than one account anywhere online i.e. like this thread, do you realize that this info can be crawled and searched and end up in front of Facebook employees? And as it's against the TOS, then it's a problem for you.

I would say that question would need to be rephrased to: "Do You Have Multiple Facebook ADVERTISING Accounts?"

That is what FB cares about. FB is after people who deliberately brake advertising rules to make tons of cash. These guys are in and out in just few days, doing dating ads, fat-loss pills or work from home stuff.

FB can't care less if you simply have few accounts and you are faking likes or selling likes.

I used to have a lot of facebook accounts before, and when I say a lot I mean almost a hundred. But that was before when facebook was not that strict, were you can add massively. Yes, it was for marketing and spamming but as I've said that was before ahaha

I think that most IM's have at least 2 FB accounts, one that's their own and other one to spam people. Yes, yes, I admit it, I'm one of them

You are wrong. I.P. Address has absolutely nothing to do with it.

I have been logged into two to three accounts at once from different browsers. I never used a fake ip. Facebook doesn't ban you unless you Spam, or do something that raises red flags. Just have different names, use them regularly, post statuses and keep updating random images to appear normal. Works for me.

  • Hypothetically speaking, if I should have different accounts, I would use a vpn service to ensure FB wouldnt detect them so easiely, I would also use hootsuite for managing them without having to login and logout all the time, but this of course is just figurative speaking

    Another angle.

I have a large closed group on FB. Everyday I get an average of 150 requests to join. I weed out the obvious fake,spammer/troll accounts. Most fake accounts I come across are new, created in the last few days/weeks. I see some that are "aged" but they're still easy to spot.

Accounts that are several years old with only 5 friends, no regular activity, no normal kind of images, members of hundreds of groups or zero etc. All markers that generally indicate fake accounts.

To me they are a pain in the arse. If one slips through they start to spam the group within a day of being accepted or they start trolling looking for victims.

    -Paul.

Hello, if I can have people from different areas create FB accounts for me (and with their phone numbers linked to them), will that be OK later when I start logging in to those accounts from my own computer? will that violate FB policy? Thanks
