Help me understand this please

Howcome sometimes when I place a CPM Facebook ad it lasts for several hours before it is maxed out on the daily budget and other times the daily budget is spent within minutes? Is there a way to adjust this? Thanks

It just depends on the number of users you are targeting with your specifications. You;ll see when you set up a Facebook ad that it tells you the number of users you are targeting. The more users, the more times your ad will be seen and hopefully clicked.

Also, if you have bid high on PPC, your ad will have more chance of being seen more often than if you bid at the lower end of the scale.

But the example above happens for the same ad with same target audience of around 4-million.

I've had similar experiences. Even more off-the-wall than that.

Bottom line is that fb is constantly changing. fb is not consistent at all with ads.

Just be prepared to tweak your targeting settings and "play" their game.

It could be your settings for the maximum bid range or the number of impressions that causes this problem. If not, then the problem could be on Facebook's and there could be a glitch or a bug. In this case, you should contact Facebook on the Help Center page.
