Friends, how is your websites doing during the Christmas season? Are you getting more traffic and sales? Or maybe less?

As for me, I am facing some 20% traffic drop these days.
#social media #traffic
  • Set up a Facebook fan page. Poke those in your niche to be a fan or friend. Do not spam. Treat them like you would like to be treated. Thats a good way to get traffic.
  • Well, I have gained the traffic.... 10Times better then before...
As my site was on sachin tendulkar retirement he retires few days back from ODI Cricket and all of sudden increases my traffic.,,, But this thing is i have not got as many $$ as i thought so.. Any suggestion for me?? For ads placement??
  • We are a certified SEO firm operating over a decade. We also faced lowest sales due to Christmas Eve.
  • Is the content on your website Trend based. I have seen this myself, sometime when there is some trends happening, traffic level shoots up then it comes down. Just cross check once with Google Trends, it might help you to better optimize your blog.
  • I suggest to submit your links to digg.com. 70% of my traffic comes from digg and the reamaining are from social media sites..

    • Organic traffic fluctuations are normal. This includes seasonal spikes. One way to compensate for these changes or low spots is to be proactive.

      This includes:
      1) buying traffic
      2) adding relevant content more frequently
      3) increase your social presence

If your site has true value, visitors will come.
    • How do you get traffic from digg.com exactly? Do you only posts links or do some more?

  • I think people are spending more time with their families, going to the shopping malls and finally getting round to visiting their Granny and in laws instead of checking out websites.....lol

I think this traffic downward trend will continue for another week or two.
  • This is holidays and festival time so as usual there is traffic drop for all websites.Traffic will increase in new year now,so enjoy holidays!

    Happy New Year to all!
  • Yup!! Less Traffic less revenue. This is bound to happen, as people are enjoying their Holidays.
  • There has been drop in traffic as per Analytics but if i cross check it thru WMT its rising. Donno y the difference in Analytics and WMT is getting huge
  • I'm getting alot less traffic in the past few weeks. It will pick up after the New Year starts.
  • I have 4 website but all 4 website is not getting good traffic.2 of them are getting good traffic and 2 are not. That's why in this Christmas i got less sell than previous season.I am focusing on the Carnival festival of 2013 on Germany.I hope i will get better sell from my all 4 website on January 2013.For this i am doing Facebook fan page making with all my keywords. Is this ok to bring good traffic?Any better ideas are appreciable. So, please feel free to suggest me.Thank you.

  • Facebook can be used to attracting traffic and making sales. More likes more traffic more sales.

If you promote many physical goods at FB, you need at least 10,000 likes (fans) for making enough amount of profit.
  • Absoultely all the people are busy in enjoying their holidays.
  • I agree with most comments, use social media and maybe add some paid traffic into the mix. If you find the right keyword mix at a lower bid cost you should do well. Facebook is a great resource as well as others mentioned.

All the best in getting more traffic.
  • The traffic of my website is pretty healthy. It's because of the advertizement I gave in the social media networks.
  • Try to concentrate on local business such as posting in local business directories, google maps and video promotions
  • maybe a reason for dropping a percentage of sales because it's holiday and it's time for FAMIL MONENTS/ bonding

    hoping your sales recovers.

    thanks
  • We just launched our site livinsport during Christmas.
  • my traffic is very low these days.. im not really active in social media so don't really know ;/
  • The holiday season changes the amount of time that people are online. I think that is good as long as they are spending the time with friends and family and enjoying themselves. Everybody needs a break and why not take a break at Christmas.
  • My traffic is getting low day by day. I don't know what to do.
  • My website traffic is well Because I have done our SEO work before any festival or holiday. My according blog post is the best way for more traffic on your website.
  • Hi
My traffic is going good. and i am focusing to improve that.
sometime, it also depend on that what are you promoting and what are you selling.
  • That's pretty normal with the past holidays that came. I also experience the same to my sites but luckily it comes back up during the spring/summer times. It's just like that you don't have to worry not unless its going down consistently but you could try or add other strategies such as social media marketing or PPC it helps to also venture to other methods. Can be a risk but who knows the returns will be bigger than expected.
  • It's google updates in SERP so the reason for droping the traffic on your site.. Do social activities and more for improving...
  • Guys what happen with keyword ranking? My website keywords ranking drop and i am doing good in seo and smm.
  • The traffic in my websight is quite handsome.
  • My traffic is quite handsome as I use Google+ for SEO.
  • Since my website is new, it is not getting much traffic. But my traffic has increased over the last few days. I hope I will get more traffic, as I am planning to advertise on Facebook soon.
