My method to getting free QUALITY likes on FB

I am new on Warrior forum so I am not sure if someone has mentioned this method already, if so I am sorry for repeating it.

I have a fitness website for athletes, it is targeted more towards basketball though. On FB I made a fan page for my site. I started off with asking my friends to like the page but maybe only a handful actually did.

After that failed, I ran FB ads with a $5 daily budget limit. This worked very well for me. Unfortunately the likes I got did not participate by liking or commenting on the posts I made. I thought this was because I has such a low number of likes.

Then I went to Fiverr and bought a couple of gigs to increase the likes on my page and make it seem more popular but again those likes aren't real people who like or comment on my page which does not help me or my page.

I am only 18 and I have had a lot of trouble finding a job so I started brainstorming on ways I could get more likes without the need of spending money.

Since my page is about basketball, what I did is I made two new facebook profiles with basketball related pictures and information. Then I went to popular Basketball related fan pages, I liked and replied to peoples comments.

The trick was that I only liked and replied to people who knew what they were talking about. People who seem to have a passion or a strong interest on the topic or leave comments with value.

After I scoped out these people I added them as friends. Since I previously liked their comments and replied to them, they were more likely to add me as friends, which they did.

Once they added me as friends, I would post statuses, pictures, and videos that I knew they'd like and comment on.

After about 2 weeks of doing this. I got over 150 friends on both profiles. Neither of the profiles shared the same friends. Each profile had its own set of 150+ friends

(Note that these friends were constantly liking and commenting on my statuses)

Now what I finally did was I went to my Fan Page and added the two new profiles I made as admins to the fan page. After this I sent every single one of my friends to like the page and probably around 75% of the invites I sent converted to QUALITY likes to my fan page.

I gained over 200 likes to my page, yeah 200 likes is not a lot but these 200+ likes are QUALITY likes of real people who constantly participate on mostly everything I post.

Now it seems that the two profiles I made have a life of their own and now I do not need to send people friend requests because other people add me instead.

Now of course if you try this method you'll have to tweak it towards your own audience but from my experience it works really well so I hope this was helpful and you see the results that I continue to see each day

This is the strategy that I'm looking for; the likes are "organic" and not paid.

When it comes to Facebook fans, it may be more effective for your business if you acquire high quality fans rather than a high quantity of fans.
Quality Facebook fans are fans who will connect your brand to other buyers and drive more relevant traffic to your Page's timeline. Building your page for not only your existing fans, but for your fans' connections will ensure an ongoing cycle of quality fan attraction.
      1. Post consistently but in moderation. Post between 3 and 5 times per week. Unless you are a news outlet, posting multiple times per day may annoy your fans.
      2. Post at the right times of day. In order to get the most exposure to your company's specific audience, post at the optimal times of day and days of the week
      3. Create engaging posts. Develop stories that your fans will look forward to reading in their timelines and that they will have the highest probability of liking, sharing and commenting on.
      4. Make stories timely. Relate your stories to current events and information. It's okay to occasionally sprinkle in some evergreen content, but Facebook users generally gravitate toward new information.
      5. Make stories visual. Attach photos or videos to your posts in order to visually engage Facebook users. With a visual element, people will be more likely to share your stories with their friends, or to Like your brand or business Page. Take advantage of the expanded visual real estate that's offered within the Facebook Timeline design.
Develop strong ties with the fans who are the most likely be buyers of your company's product or service and who also have the greatest likelihood of sharing your stories with their friends.

I would rather 200 real FB likes that found you as compared to even 1000 FB likes that you pay for. At least you know that these 200 people are really interested in your posts and not there just because you paid for them to be there.

FB has this feature that you can very easily unsubscribe (at least I think they still do since they are always changing) to anybody or any pages posts. They will still be your follower or friend, they just won't get any of your status updates. I don't really do much for FB likes, I personally prefer G+ but that is just me. FB just seems to be harder for me, but I am just a blogger who is not really selling anything.

Sounds like you have a plan that is working great for you, keep it up

This is a great strategy. I always prefer quality over quantity so for me these 200 fb likes are more important than those 2000 fb likes which I can get by paying.

Now I guess you don't have to do this thing anymore as any status or picture you post all your friends and their friends can see it, it will be easy to get a multiplier effect now.

    Keep up the good work.

In my case, I would also prefer 200 fb likes than having a paid 2000 fb likes.
With 200 (real) fb likes, I would possibly get the benefits that I expect.

200 likes from real people are way better than any number of just paid likes. I am fortunate to have pages with more than 1,000 likes because of my business. Now I am using those likes towards my internet marketing experience since my business has allowed me to achieve "authority" status among my customers.

I don't mean to put down your method as it is probably a very good way to ensure you have good quality organic likes, but it does seem like a highly inefficient use of time.

What I mean is, it is quite a menial task which as a Facebook fan page owner, I would prefer not to do. I think there are far more effective ways of getting traffic, especially to jump that first hurdle of 100, 1,000 and 10,000 likes on you're Facebook fan page.

For example, why not use Facebook advertising, my latest results are:

    Reach: 393,836
    Actions: 24,993
    Clicks: 9,387

and from this I got 5,743 likes from people who engaged with my advertisement, thus meaning they are probably high quality users and all of which are in either the UK, USA or Canada.

How much did this cost me?

Less than $40.00 in advertising spend at a CPM of $0.05...Facebook doesn't have to be expensive and it's far easier than what you mentioned.

A good way to find friends are to find FB page and groups related to your niche. A group is a lot easier because everyone is more interactive and social with one another

Although I definitely agree that Facebook ads are helpful, they aren't everything.

The idea here was to spend less money and gain quality (free) likes.

Yes, you can say it's not a good way to spend time, but then again the idea could also be a great way to build networks and relationships that are deeper and more helpful in the longrun.

I have pages with 3,000, 5,000, 15,000 and even over 175,000 fans on them and they are all very interactive and I receive hundreds of comments whenever I post anything, but I'll tell ya this, there are a lot of very interactive people that I've found that have since then turned into a great benefit for me, they interact with things, participate in discussions, and give way more value than 95% of the other fans.

It's not to say that others don't have valuable information, but a quality like is a huge thing.. those people can go onto being page moderators, page admins, content creators, and even eventual partners

I have to agree 100% with the post below... when you can pick ups hundreds of genuine likes (who become engaged) every day with FB advertising for a few bucks it's really not a very efficient use of your time to manually get likes.

Yes I agree as well but the problem was, when I started, I did not have any money to spend. All the money I had was tied up in keeping my website up.

I had to find a free but effective technique to get likes. It is time consuming but I had no job so I had the time to put in and its worked pretty well so far

If you read the original post fully then you must have read that the guy was an unemployed 18 years old (therefore had more time to use towards building his page than money).

Its ok to use your more effective method if you have a budget, but with limited or no budget, the lad deserves kudos.

But Social Media Marketers are really busy people they don\t have much time to spnd just for this.. sad but true but yes there are some marketers who really think like you and offer real likes/tweaks/G+s etc.. to your pages....

I am still young and learning on ways to convert my audience into profit.

What I have done so far is that when I update my website with new articles or videos I post a link to my site on the fan page telling everyone to check out what I just posted.

Since my fan page is very active, a lot of people will click on the link and be redirected to my site. My content is original and I try to use specific language and words to catch the readers attention. I've gotten a couple sales this way, I am still working a better article writing method to convert into more sales.

Also I have my aweber opt in form on my site. So if I do not get any sales, I will get a couple of more people on my list.

Since I have social media buttons on my site (FB, twitter, Pinterest etc.) a lot of people will use them and that also helps.

Well if you'd like to use your actual FB profile then you can do that too but personally I did not want so instead I just made a new profile.

When I saw how easy it was to get a bunch of friends on a new profile, who by the way were pretty active, I made another profile. Both profiles are getting more friends each day on their own. I do not add anyone other people instead add my profiles.

After each profile gets at least 50 new friends, I invite all of them to like my page and the conversion of the people who actually like my page is pretty high

It worked so well that I am currently working on a third profile

Well no you cant actually reply to their comments in the way that you think.
Say their name is Alex or something what you would have to do is write "@Alex" and then continue on with writing your comment.

This is why I like their comments because most of the time they check back and see that I replied and it'll be more likely for them to add you. Most of the time just liking their comments will be enough for them to want to add you though.

When I started this method, half of the time I like them and add them straight away. The other half I would check the first couple of posts and see if any of the posts had the same people commenting. When I found the same people constantly commenting I would like a couple of their comments and then add them which would work a lot more.

You'd be surprised by how many people are actively commenting. If you can find people who are active on FB pages then like a couple of their comments then add them.

Great post and very informative and inspiring. Simple method that takes a little time and a little work but seems to be very effective. The results are quality likes gotten the old fashioned way. Now you can focus on monetizing your community and finding a way to automate or outsource the process so that you can then scale it up.

The likes are quality because you simply built up a relationship with your FB friends and did so one by one. It's just another form of list building which is really relationship building rather than direct sales pitches. Great work and glad to see that you stuck with it and did not give up when your results started out slow and less than stellar. You were also creative and imaginative in brainstorming and troubleshooting out some solutions to your marketing challenges.

    Excellent work.

The best way to get a lot of face book likes would all depend upon your website.

I currently average about 50 new likes per day. It helped when I added the Facebook Like widget to my website, and I post 3 to 6 times a day a link to my website along with a picture.

If you are consistent, people will like, and share your links. This will further increase the amount of likes you will get.

It takes time to grow into 10,000 likes.

But, hard work and dedication is the seed for success.

I just PM people non-stop with the message, "PLEASE LIKE ME, OH PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LIKE MY PAGE. JUST DO IT OR I DON'T KNOW WHAT UNFORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCES MIGHT BEFALL ME," in all caps like that day after day until they're forced to click "Like."

Kind of like I do in real life. Just follow people around with a picket sign and the words "Be my friend," on it in hastily scrawled magic marker.

Just kidding; nice method! Real, solid likes are the best way to go to build a foundation.

Hey everyone I'd just like to add to my results with my method. On the past two weeks or so I made a third profile. This profile is doing twice as good as the other two that I made.

This profile has taken a complete life of it's own. Everyday it gets about 30+ friend requests. Which is about 210 new friends a week along with the other friends I made with the other two profiles.

The beauty of it is I am still getting a high conversion of these friends to like my page and become active

For celebrity fashion page, what kind of people should I add? Celebrity fans?
Yes FB can cracked down on adding random people which why I would advise for you to join relevant groups and get noticed by everyone there.

One thing I've tried, for example, was to post a picture in a group that will get everyone's attention and say "Everyone add me, I want friends who know about this" or something like that. This way you dont have to get in trouble for adding people because everyone adds you instead.

And yes it should be celebrity and fashion fans.

Yeah that one seems a little tough. I don't really think much 50+ people are looking through FB for dating.

Try targeting a bigger audience and keep track of who likes the page. Keep track of the age and sex. Once you get more followers you can analyze this information and target the age and sex group with the majority likes on your page

This sounds great! However, I am wondering why not just go and make comments and such with your fan page. Why take the extra steps of creating the other pages? Was it so that it did not look like you were a company? Or was it so you could invite the people to the page because they were now friends? Did you make these two new profiles under the same account as your fan page? Thanks!!

I actually did both, I commented on other FB pages and tried to became an active user but there are a lot of other pages leaving spamming comments asking to like their page so I realized a lot of people are hesitant to like a page through this method.

Which is why I made other accounts that were related to my niche, I filled it with a bunch of pictures and albums related to my niche and FB page. I had more success this way

Buying likes isn't always the best idea, unless you also buy comments and status likes as well to make it look like your page is active.

This way when you runs ads and people see your page it'll be more likely that they'll like your page.

I have programmed for me an Facebook Image Poster Bot how posts all 2 Hours a Picture what i uploaded before automatically. 500 Visits per Picture and 50-120 Likes/Followers a Day is possible with that method but it take time. No 1 Day Traffic Method.

What I like about your idea is how you had fun putting the plan into action. You actually took time to do market research and track down your potential customers (as in potential fans of your page) and find them where they hang out on other sports related pages. Then you interacted in a fun and friendly way. This is very much what social marketing is about, being friendly and having fun and socializing, not just marketing or selling at your potential fans/customers. This idea could work for anyone.

Originally Posted by Baller Bryan View Post

I think there's value both to paying for FB ads as well as investing time into organic building. The thing about paid ads is that you need an initial capital to begin with, and not everybody has that privilege.

I can see that you've had quite a lot of experience in social media marketing already. It's impressing to know that you are able to stand waiting and gained the patience to wait until you get 200 real likes on your page.

Thank you for sharing this and you keep up the good work! More likes on your page coming.

    Good luck!

    Hi,

what should I do with a new facebook page to get likes?
This is the point here, a faceboook page with 0 or 20 likes , people are not interested to visit it again or to like it or make an email sign up (opt in).

So my facebook page must have at the beginning 500,1000,2000 likes, but how I do that fro free?

Fiverr gigs are not recommend, so what other method is there to make a new beginning facebook site with 1000 or more likes, so that with every day I make a post on my facebook page to get daily visitors, likes abnd opt in's?

?? Which best free method are there?

    best wishes

If you have a list that's an easy way to get likes quick. I usually direct traffic from Youtube and Instagram to build my likes up. Just make sure you are posting quality content on your fan page.
