Need some Advice..Anyone have Social Media Marketing Workshop Experience??

Hello everyone,

I'm considering doing free Social Media Marketing seminars about an hour or 2 long for local business owners full of content and maybe at the end sell them on a few social media marketing packages.

For example the first package includes a Facebook fan page with an opt-in and a video introducing their company or a coupon etc for $97
And a second and third package each with more options.

I have never done this.. Do any of you have any experience with this, if so can you please give me some advice as to how to market it, and any resources, as well as any advice at all for someone like me that wants to pursue this?

    I’m not sure how much value I can add for you as I have never done anything like this however in working with clients seeking web marketing services, I can tell you that their eyes glaze over until you can relate all the technical SEO, search marketing and development mumbo jumbo to a real life business scenario. In other words I would make sure to structure your courses in a way that constantly shows them how using social media or facebook will help them in their business in some way. For instance showing them how having an application on their page will help increase leads or how engaging prospects will increase their chances of developing long lasting relationships. Or even perhaps how social media can be used as a customer service tool. Whatever it is, just make sure your relate it to them growing their businesses first and foremost.

    I have seen these guys work with clients before and they offer webinars online (not sure if there is a cost or not). Perhaps you could enroll in one and see what its like from a student’s perspective,

      There is a meetup group i attend its about social media marketing, the leader (also a member of this forum)charges a fee for similar services. My point is you could start a meetup group give free meetings, talk about your experise and then offer a service.
