Facebook Group Posting Frequency

Hi Warrior Fam,

Of those of you who use Facebook groups as a marketing medium, how often per day do you post to the groups? Also, do you mainly post manually or use an automated software? Please advise.

Thanks

  • Enterprisemind,

I would say that it depends on the group and how active they are on the platform. There are some people that use it passively, don’t have a lot of connections and therefore probably don’t want to hear from you much. On the other end of the spectrum there are people who are on it every day for hours at a time, have hundreds of connections and wouldn’t bat an eye if they saw you post something every day.

The kind of content you are posting is also important. Is it helpful, relevant or otherwise useful? If not then you might not want to post something until it is.

My advice is to not be lazy and manually post your content. Or have someone else do it for you that you can trust to do it intelligently. Stay away from automated posters and such.

I agree! With frequency of your posts, there's no "one size fits all" or "average". You have to tailor your approach to your audience and add relevant and compelling information there. There is a lot of overlap between how you should treat your email list and how you treat your social media subs. You wouldn't be like, "what automated software should I use on my email list"...so don't be like that with your social media followers.
