Is this twitter account worth buying?

Hey everyone, I want to buy this twitter account and it has 49.000 real followers and I want to use it to monetize and make some money. I can use a few networks that allow twitter traffic. The person selling it wants $400 for it and it's a twitter tribute to Christian Bale so I can do a lot of batman and related tweets. What do you guys think?

    Hard to say really. My gut reaction would be no, to be honest. Only you can really answer whether it's worth it too you.

    Ask if he will send a few tweets throughout the day to his followers, with a link to your blog/website. Then you can monitor how many hits you get from it, and base your decision on that. He shouldn't have a problem with that if his followers are any good, and he wants to make a sale.

    You'd probably be surprised how little traffic you can get from a twitter list.

    Well I had the person do a link and I tracked it through bit.ly and it got like 500 clicks and most of them were USA. So I figure if I use a network that pays me .05 cents per click and get 500 clicks average it would take me 16 posts with 500 clicks each post to get my money back. But, I don't know that much about twitter. Except I know there is money to be made with it.

      500 actually doesn't sound too bad. Maybe you can haggle on the price a bit though?.

    Honestly not really worth it in my opinion. You can use that 500 hundreds to build your own twitter account.. how do you know all of them are real? I would check the sites that track mentions and re-tweets to see if the activity is worth it.

    i think you should give it a try. 49,000 real followers at least will earn you the 400 you are going to spend.

    To me your are getting that account in quite cheap price, its costing less than $1 per 100 real followers. So you should give it a try if the followers are real.

    And, how would you monetize this account? Can you be sure the Twitter followers would put up with spam links being suddenly inserted into Tweets?
