Is it true that Twitter can boost your web traffic?

Hi fellow Warrior,

I am new here at Internet Marketing, and even newer at social media thing.

I've heard that Twitter (and Facebook) can bring traffic to your web or your sales. I'm want to try this method, but can not figure it out how. Anyone have a "blueprint" or experience about this, share would be appreciate.

PS: English is not my first language, I'm sorry if above post is messy.

true, if you have a lot of followers on twitter and 'likes' on Facebook.

but, if you are new in social media, you should first learn about facebook. it will be better.

Basically, facebook and twitter let you create a community of people interested in what you have to say.
If you have a large enough community, you can market to them.
It's the equivalent of having your own magazine.

You can get traffic from twitter, but in my experience it's not always great quality.

I've written a few tips for getting more followers on twitter on my blog.

It all depends on how you get followers. I've had a lot of success on Twitter and raised a lot of money on Kickstarter from the people that follow me.

It can be hard to get a large following on twitter. If you want to give it a jump start, go to fiverr and buy a gig to add followers to your twitter and retweet any message you want. I'm not sure about the quality of the followers, but I have had some success using this. Just be careful not to get banned.

Yes it can. And at the very least, it works in the same way you would put links on any other website.

There is still a more specific technique to it of course (and rules to follow). Just make sure you remember the basics of staying relevant and avoid being spammy.

Yes it does but only if you use these sites properly. You will need to find and add your target market, make posts every day (as much as possible) and also participate in the community- post in related groups (Facebook groups or pages).

I love Facebook and Twitter because they provide me with direct traffic.

I love twitter! You have to have a dedicated community of followers to draw traffic to your website. This will take time, but the way to do this is to engage and follow people in your website's niche.

Like everything else, the more you're getting involved the better the results you get. Just by "showing up", you can't expect much results.

If you take the time to develop relationships with people active on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest .. or whatever other new social site may be popular in the years to come, you will be able to direct traffic to your site.

Well there is one simple method you can immplement on twitter. Simply in a reserach bar on your twitter account type #keyword and you will see what other say about your keyword. Than symply find product related to that keyword (best work with CPA) and post reply to them or simply send twitt.
Another thing is what I use simple script exit. When someone want to exit my page it comes new window asking him to wait and retwit my post in exchange of some bonus and that works great for me...

You need tens of thousands of random followers just to make it worth your time logging in to tweet. Getting targeted followers is good as well, but it doesn't come as quickly or as easily. I'd suggest that it's worth it for anyone who has a Twitter account to join all the social swapping sites, especially Twiends for Twitter. I can help manage your Twitter account and get you followers faster and for a better price.

I have had a Twitter account set up for about 12 months now and it is finally starting to pay off. I get about 1,000 hits a day for my blog's twitter account and I currently have over 7,500 Followers. In order to get followers, it takes time. You need to follow people and hope they follow you back, which most of the time they do.

What has worked best for me is ReTweeting people who Tweet to me, and also Replying to everyone who contacts you. It's easy to type a few things, especially if you have it connected to your phone, and my followers really appreciate it. I hope this helps!

Twitter can really generate huge traffic, if you have the best and most active followers. You should also be active and share interesting things on your Twitter account. Once you gain some sort of reputation on Twitter, then you can easily generate traffic for the Tweets done through your Twitter profile.

Twitter is a free service that allows people to stay in touch with each other through the exchange of quick and frequent answers to simple questions. It is some sort of micro-blogging service that allows users to send a little 140-character messages out to “followers” and exchanging bits and pieces of information and potentially exposing that conversation to the larger grid.

Depends on your niche. I usually go for facebook to get more traffic it's where my niche is more accessible than twitter. But I do both. You just need more time to build up an account and profile and share relevant posts that will make your traffic more interested to check on your facebook or twitter account. Normally its what I do I post statuses and share links that will interest my target market

Social networking sites can really boost your site's traffic because lots of people online have accounts on those sites and check their accounts every day. But yes, you must have lots of followers. Be careful also about posting links on Twitter. Twitter will "ghost" the link if they think it's spammy.

Twitter is a fantastic way to boost traffic (as are most of the social media channels).

However traffic is just traffic. It's what you do with the traffic and how targeted it is. You could have 1 million visitors to your website tomorrow but if you're unable to convert them then they're not worth anything.

Before you start focusing/worrying about traffic make sure your website/sales pages are in order and that you know what traffic you're trying to reach so that you can target them better and your sites then convert into subscribers/cash.
