How I Promoted My Blog To Get 2000 Daily Page Views

Hey guys, I joined this forum some time ago, but I had been so busy with lots of things- business things of course, *winks*, but I am BACK, YES!

I am here today to share with you, how I promoted my free host personal blog on blogger.com to gain an average of 2000 page views and 1000 unique blog visitors daily. You can as well share more tips that you are using to drive huge traffic to your blog, by the way we all are here to learn from one another because no one person is a container of knowledge.

I first created the blog in 2011, but I was so engrossed with Hubpages that I abandoned my personal blog (a great mistake). Oh yeah, I made fame on Hubpages after one of my hubs there rose to Google number one search engine result when you Google the keywords- ""how to know if a man loves you", "know if a man loves you"" or any similar keyword and you will see accofranco on HubPages there.

Late last year, I got inspired after seeing some blogs owned by my fellow country people flourish and boom, so I decided to re-activate my blog and believe me, it has been profitable more than when I was concentrating on hubpages alone, how?

I now get direct advert placements from product and brand owners, and I also get good returns from Google Adsense ever since my personal blog's traffic skyrocket.

Let me cut the who story short, how did I promoted my blog to achieve the success?

1. I created a facebook fan page and started posting updates of my blog posts on the fan page with links to the blog posts so fans can visit my blog.

2. I created a twitter account too, though I don't have much followers yet, but my Google analytics showed I usually get traffic referrals from twitter.

3. I joined some reputable forums and became so active, and always posted a link to my blog post relating to whatever topic that was being discussed.

4. I began to visit every popular and unpopular blogs I know or hear about, and most times, I make unique and vital comments on each blog posts, with a link to my own blog for that blog's readers to also visit mine if they feel like.

Note: dropping comments on other people's blogs helps, don't always read and walk away, say something and probably drop your blog url at the end, but don't spam, be reasonable about it.

5. I made sure I post something spicy and enticing on my blog daily. There is no day I don't post something on my blog, because it makes my blog look fresh and updated to search engine and also to my visitors and hence, they become regular visitors and fans.

I therefore encourage you to always update your blog with new topics daily to keep your visitors and to keep your blog interesting and lively.

You can always spice your blog up with current affairs, celebrity news and sports just to keep your visitors entertained, and then at interval, you post your own unique topics to also let them know that you are not just recycling viral internet topics.

6. I always compare my blog with other popular blogs to see what I can add to my own blog template looking at those other blogs. Remember, people love attractive design, it attracts visitors to your blog, so make sure your blog's template and design are attractive to the eye.

Try this six tips and come back to testify.

You can take a look at my blog here> edutainment and inspiration blog

and see things for yourself. Though I am still working to hit 10,000 pages views daily, and I will get there

Oh wow, you are at this level with a free blogspot domain? Good work, you should consider purchasing a keyword focused domain, that'll give you a better performance.

I did try this stuff (with a .com) a while ago and the result was pretty amazing. To anyone who'd like to get the flow of visitors coming, I recommend trying accofranco's tips and I'm sure you'll succeed. I know I did.

Yeah Ami, it works like magic...in fact, you may not even need to get a registered domain, all you may need is some HTML coding skills to be able to customize your free blogger blog template to suite your desire and taste and thats it.

The key is constant updating, social network promotion, and then quality content, and the rest of the job is half done.

Meanwhile, I don't really get your suggestion of a keyword purchase or something like that, clarify me more on that, thanks Ami...do try and visit my blog- edutainment and inspiration blog and see

Good tips and I'm happy for you but don't trust free platforms like HubPages & Blogger to build your web business. I had the same story as yours in the past riding high with HubPages & Blogger until Google deleted my blogger blog out of the blue without any warning and after I had dedicated over 2 years of writing content there. And then around the same time HubPages was falling out the ladder of Google love ladder after some crazy Google algo change so they started screwing over accounts of the very many who had written there for years I guess to try to point the blame -- heck, they ran away most top writers there due to the way they handled the situation and obviously showed that they didn't give a rats booty about us.

So I learned a hard lesson, and that is to NEVER depend on any free services to build my business because these are platforms that you simply do not own or control. Anything could happen - even if you think it can't happen to you, truth is it has happened others - and that's proof enough that it's possible.

Do I still use free services? Yes, but only for some mixture of backlink purposes maybe slapping up some spun content here & there - but they will NEVER get my premium content unless it's syndicated to them (and links back to my sites) only after being published on my site for several months first.

Well that's my advice, you can take it or leave it. But I tell you, you can waste a lot of valuable years building a business on sand with free platforms.

WOW! Its nice to hear real life stories from real people, thats one great advantage of forums. Thanks for that warning, will take my time, but my mentors had been using blogger for years...and they had gain so much fame and making millions. You must have been hearing their names if I mention any...so it depends on your content, and I always ensure I do not post topics that may break their rules n regulations, that way, I am guaranteed of security.

But I also have some paid sites and a forum that I am gradually building.

You're not "guaranteed" anything using free platforms, and don't get me wrong it's good that other people have found success with them, I have too. But don't think for a minute that with one little mood swing Google or other entity that you do not own or control won't go delete all your hard work, and then you'll have to start over. And don't jump to conclusions thinking that you have to be in the wrong for Google to ax you, without rhyme or reason or forewarning. That's not always the truth - and definitely wasn't the truth in my case. Again, best wishes!

Nice to hear your success story. I have some questions for you, hope you will take the time to answer them. These answers can be helpful to other people as well:

How do you find these spicy, sometimes controversial stuff to post on your blog? How much time do you spend daily to search for some interesting news related to your niche? Once you find something, do you just rewrite the story in your own words and post on your blog? Do you have any demographic in mind while writing these blog posts? Finally, you said some of your mentors are earning tons of money. Are they making all this money firom adsense? Do they do the same thing - post interesting or spicy news related to a niche?

First, I am kind of connected- I have lots of network of friends who live world over, and who know what I am doing aside my usual career and business, so they always alert me via BBM, Emails, SMS, etc on latest gists happening.

Again, I am kind of tech-savy, so I have good skill in digging out happening stories, and sometimes I use Google search.

Of course I do re-write some stories to meet my taste and that of my audience because some web posters don't really know how to write a catchy story to win visitors, so I do that.

I spend close to 6 hours or sometimes less online.

and don't forget that I am a writer by talent

and you guys should not forget the need to focus on your locality, that will give you the opportunity to build a local audience within your location, which will in turn attract local adverts to your blog when they see people from your locality commenting and visiting your blog, which will help to take you off from depending solely on Google Adsense for your website or blog monetization.

Wow, congratulations then if this is true, nice job. Particularly since you used a free service when you built your blog.

I took a look at it, and it looks like a great site. Content is quite interesting, although most of them are not quite G-rated, if I may say so. However, I see that your header is not really reflecting your site's contents. On top of your page, it actually said "models," with pictures of really slim women. But beyond that, most of the posts aren't really about models, they're actually about controversial stuff. And your domain name also doesn't reflect your site at all. Perhaps you have some secret weapon to your success, then. Congrats!

    Thanks for the tips
I've never been a big fan of hanging around in forum and posting my links there but I can see how this can be helpful for long-term ranking and as your post stays there you continue to get traffic over time.

The biggest point I believe is #5
Blogging is all about consistency and having fresh content for your subscribers/viewers all the time. It's like your own TV show and you don't want your viewers to get bored and leave your site. It is the same thing with e-mailing your list. If you get your subscribers used to open your e-mails daily they'll open them daily as you've become a part of their life. If you get them used to reading your blogpost or e-mails weekly they'll do that too but you only have 1 day of the week to impact them instead of 7 days a week where you can be in front of their eyes and get them to engage your content.

Sometimes I run out of content when I post daily and I don't like to take content from other blogs or unrelated sport/celebrity stuff. Would you say it's a good strategy to mix your own content with "hot topics" stuff or would you choose one over the other if you had to?

Of course you can't be able to keep it up- as in posting only your content daily, and even if you do...your readers might get bored. I am a great story teller and writer, but yet, I find it hard to keep up with daily posting of my own unique stories.

In order words, you need great stories of celebrities, sports, and first hand news to keep your readers updated daily. The only thing you need to do is always make sure you reference clearly where you got whatever info you are posting to give the owner the copyright credit.

And to other questions, the monetization has been great, from both Google Adsense and few direct local adverts, which I hope it improves with time.

Though blogging is not my main career, but I try to take it serious anyway.

Bookmarking is another cute way, but I have not really been using it on my blog, but have tried it with hubpages, and it worked.

So it is a nice tip too.
