I have just set out a competition on facebook page but don't know how to get maximum results, http://www.facebook.com/YellowTaxis. With one move which could cost me up to £500.00 I get voted the best taxi company in the UK and increase my Facebook likes potentially by up to 5000.

Any feed back / criticism would be nice.

I don't know but I just liked your page. Maybe you can test different ads, that read "click here if you like taxis" and target big cities, who are the bulk of taxi customers.

You can even use SEO or PPC to get likes on your facebook fan page but be careful about PPC bec its expensive. I would stick with Bing and Not google but make sure that you research your keywords first.

Dude stop posting personal messages on your business page o.O
Ever thought about representing your brand/company instead of posting useless crap status updates?

"I got caught on a speed camera this morning. F knows why I climbed up there."

"I got stopped by the cops last nite, and the copper asked if I'd been drinking? "Don't be daft" I replied, "I cant' afford alcohol AND petrol!!""

"Some people are so ignorant and narrow minded. Not all Muslims are terrorists you know. Some are taxi drivers."

Leave that sh*t for Twitter. If I was to rent a taxi, I wouldn't drive with someone who appears to be speeding, drunk driving and linking Terrorists to Taxi Drivers. Are you nuts?

      Some tips for you:

Get a clean business look on your page. Get a custom tab for taxi update emails or so. You can also create an Facebook Offer for a 10$ Taxi Coupon.

When you are looking to create a Facebook Ad, try targeting people in your area. Those will be among your most frequent customers.

Also you can create special offers for upcoming events in your hometown/area.

      Just be creative.

      Cheers,

      Carsten
