Just read a post on using Tynt to ensure that if anyone copies and pastes you blog content else where a piece of code can be added to ensure that it is always attributed back to your original content. Has anyone used Tynt? What are your experiences?

Looking for user experience from both sides of the fence.

Basically what tynt does is add a link snippet back to the the original source when you copy and paste content in e-mails.. It may work... but its useless if people want to steal your content all they have to do is delete the link.. "poof" no trace...lol

    Hi,

I've been using it on one of my websites for a few months now.
Besides the links it creates - which, as Frank said can be deleted by the person copying the content - it also gives you interesting statistics about how many times content has left your website and what are the most popular pages.

    Seb.

Do you use Facebook ? Then you can make money just by inviting people to a Facebook group ! It's called the Instant Income System. How cool is that?

    • Everyone makes an effort to protect their content. You can setup a free account with Tynt in 30 seconds. Then you are taken to a home page that has already generated a line of HTML code for your website. You simply need to add this code in your footer or index file, just aboe the tag. From then on if any visitors tries to copy your content a line will be added with your website.

A bit late but thought I'd comment for other readers. I use Tynt also and find it hugely helpful. My site is related to spirituality and my articles are huge, I couldn't believe what was being copied just even in the first 24 hours. Even my "about us" page was copied. I followed some of my articles and found that they were being dissected and commented on on other sites, totally taken out of context (without me having a say). Not cool.

I now have a right-click disable AND Tynt. I know right-click is not fool proof because you can easily get around it if you know how. My clientele, however, has no clue how to do that. Since installed the right-click disable the Tynt stats have gone down dramatically.

I'd recommend it to anyone, especially since it's free and has great stats otherwise.

It has gotten me a couple of good back links over the last six months, and a few more not so good ones that are better than nothing, it seems worthwhile enough. Try and copy some stuff off my website and see how it works.
