What are the Fan-gate/Like-gate FB services do you recommend? How much do you pay or be willing to pay for such a service?

Is there any advantage of having the ability to Like-gate from an external site or in an email rather then inside Facebook?

Trying to figure out what is out there. Thanks!

Mysocialpromo,

I like the North Social apps. They are pretty reasonable and super easy to set up. As far as what I would be willing to pay for a like gate application, I would say not much more than 50-100 dollars per month, especially if I was just starting out.

Thanks so much for your responses.

I am asking because I created a service that allows you to like-gate and share-gate and I am trying to see what else is out there that people are using in the marketplace.

I am also trying to figure out how much to charge.

The difference with my service is that you can create the like-gate/share-gate as a web page that you can send out via email, FB, twitter etc instead of just a Facebook tab.

Here is an example (actually a deal for my service):

Price depends on the market (research the top sites for your niche and see what they charge).Yes it could work, and it could work well. But your site is a little unclear. Need some more info on it. But yeah, if you do it right you could make some good income.

I read something not long ago (I'll have to try and dig up the article!) But it basically said that Facebook are completely against any type of 'fan-gating'. In fact they are looking at ways to completely abolish fan gates...

I agree with FirstSocialApps -- As long as you follow the TOS in Facebook, Fan-Gating is completely legit.

We at Antavo (Antavo Promotion Builder) have also like-gate in the promotions we provide. People need to like the page in order to enter the promotions You can pick from sweepstakes, contests and deals too! BTW fan-gating is totally ok with FB regulations, until you do it via an a third party app.
