How to start SMO?

Hello Guys,

I have being doing SEO from past few years. Now one of my client wants me to start SMO for his business. I read lots and lots of online stuff but perplexed where to start from and what strategies to follow? How should I choose my target audience? Shall I start from some helpful posts or a obliging Ad?

    There are many ways to optimize a business for a strong social media presence.

    The easiest way is to make sure they are listed in all of the major directories such as Yelp, Google+ and TripAdvisor...etc.

    Then create profiles on every social media network you can get your hands on...of course focusing on the major channels like Facebook, Google+, Twitter and LinkedIn.

    Make sure to always update those profiles with information and news at least 3-4 times a week.

    It can get overwhelming trying to manage all of those different profiles, but set up a time management system and make it work for you.

    Or you could always outsource it and make sure that you can see a reasonable, but not greedy profit.

    If you wants to sell products SMO is best way you must join social networking sites and find there products related communities and 2nd option is can do classified submission for your site in specific city or country.

    1. Start with paid ads, spend about $200 on it. You can build a group of LIKErs and SHARErs with that money PLUS your audience is targeted
    2. Curate content from similar fan pages
    3. Soft-sell on promotions or build a list to get your ROI quickly

      Well, for starters, create accounts and/or profiles o several popular social media sites. That way, you will be able to establish your identity on different sites and can cater to any type of audience there is. Then, create pages on these sites which will be focused on your website. Invite others them to view your pages with the links to them, so that anyone can see the profiles you have and the invites for your site(s).

    Guess you yourself answered you own question!!! If you think that your website is well designed and clearly explains what it sells, just go, create accounts on social media networks like linked in, twitter, facebook etc... and create your communities... That's all...
