Facebook beginner's question

Hi,

I must admit I always refused Facebook and know nothing about it. Now somebody told me I really need it for a business I am about to start.

I read so many things on the Internet about FB now that I am totally confused.

Do I need a page, a business page, a brand, a fan page?

I would just present my business there, and do not want to connect my real name with it. That means who searches for my real name should not find my business.

Where do I start?

      Facebook requires that every user only have 1 account and that the account be under the persons real name. So you must create your Facebook account under your real name. You can then use that to make your fan page.

      Now the thing that some people are confused about is they think that people will somehow be able to know all about them from viewing a fan page created under there real name. This is 100% incorrect. No one will be able to know anything about you, including your name, simply by viewing a fan page that is created under your account.

      In fact thats one of the main points of creating a fan page, it keeps the business separate from the personal.

      Once you get yourself set up you will need to add pages/tabs and posts to your fan page there are lots of services out there that can help you with this. May I suggest this one:

    You should create a facebook fan page and start getting some likes. But make sure you interact with your customer base to build authority.

    You should create a business fanpage, so whenever you got any product launch or any new events all your customers who liked your fanpage will get informed, just by posting a message in the news feed of the facebook fanpage.

    Open normal facebook account then you can start a business page. The business page will not show you are the owner unless you opt it too. Good luck
