Does buying facebook fans good or not?

Recently I have bought 1,000 fans of my facebook page, I just want to buy active users and want to inter act with the fans and promote my brand of the website, but the effect is not so good?
Anybody has the experiences of buying facebook fan page like?

I have not tried it yet but a couple of my friends did so. It is not of use because when you purchase the likes from someone, he just utilized his pseudo accounts and like the page. There is no way to purchase like from active users and even if we find such, they are not going to benefit in any way.

Most of the time it will just be "fake" likes. So you won't get any interaction. But it's good to start with it, if you have problems to gather likes. Those likes will have a psychological impact on your future customers.

i am agree with you "Gordon P", a good number of follower count has a psychological effect that enhances your chances of being followed.

When you buy Facebook likes online, most of the time they are fake accounts or bots. They are solely to make your page look more popular. You will not get the engagement you are looking for but on a positive note, people are more likely to like your fan page with more fans than with fewer fans, which can eventually lead to more engagement.

You will not get any interaction and they are NOT good to start with.

Fake likes will destroy your edgerank (which determines how often and to how many people your posts show) and this can continue hurting your page even if you have a lot of legitimate likes.

It may sound good in theory, but buying likes can damage or even keep your page from growing in the future.

Spend that money on some well targeted CPM ads.

i would spend money on facebook advertising instead of buying bulk likes from third parties. You can target your ad to your audience so you get the likes which love your content and interact with you. And this is what counts.

I have done both in the past , even using those microworker sites where people trade likes or get paid a fraction of a penny to like your page (real users)

Complete waste of your time - those people have no interest in what your page is about

Like someone said above you need to run facebook ads - that way you will get real likes by people who are genuinely interested in your page

It is the only way to go

What you're talking about is buying fake fans, people don't sell real ones regardless of what they may say. The point of buying fakes ones is to make yourself appear more popular than you actually are so real people become fans as well. It's similar to marketing a forum, nobody wants to join an empty forum.

That depends on the qulity of fans that you buy. If you buy 100% REAL fans i think that is a good thing becasue these fans can interact with your page, but if you decide to buy fake likes that thing will help you ONLY for growing the number of fans that you have on your fanpage !

It has been already been mentioned but yes most of bought friends, fans, followers, etc. simply inflated your stats whether bots, scripts, or social exchange networks. The good part is having good stats make it appear to many that your "popular" which can lead to a snowball effect of "real" traffic. You can only build engagement and interactivity with the "real" traffic. Make sure you don't abuse this though because inflating your numbers can get you banned and people will notice the numbers don't add up. Usually if you see a few posts but lots of friends, or few tweets and tons of followers, or thousands of subscribers on YouTube and few views than it could be fake. This is not always the case though.

I recently did this for one of my new pages. all it does is raise your engagement (I'm at 2,000+ people talking about this page) and make your fanpage look more popular.

Think about the wow factor people get when they go to Justin Biebers page and see that he has 25+ million fans. Some people who aren't fans just like to feel like they belong to something.

In reality, the only fans that will engage with your stuff is FANS. If you look popular in their eyes, they are more likely to hit the like button. Or if you're giving away something really good on your fanpage...

To be honest, I would only ever take a small gig for a 100 fans. You can't really buy decent fans, they should come natural unless you give sponsored posts a go and see how it turns out but ideally it's only ever used to show some kind of popularity to that page.

Not every page has to do this, it depends on your interests but I wouldn't expect anyone to be responsive from that.

Buying facebook fans is the only way to grow your business very fast at the beginning.

    You know how they say:

You pay about 0.02 $ per fan and their real value is 136.38 $ per each1 facebook fan as most of social media experts agree:

its that you will not have engagement
and if you dont have probably your post will not show
to many people but good look
if you are looking for ways to make more likes
put a tab that they need to like your fanpage to get

I did this on Fiverr last year - bought 1000 page fans, or likes. No interaction whatsoever from them but it did result in more real people joining because of the psychological aspect. More people liking a page must mean I should like it too!

The issue is that Facebook routinely "cleanses" themselves from fake accounts - or at least the accounts that I got - so I'm now seeing those numbers drop by the hundreds every month. I had 2000+ fans on my page, now I have about 600. I could probably buy more, but for now it's fine.

@Quad. You are right. Most of the facebook user like those pages having more likes. So for this purpose one may use the way of purchasing likes. Once the page have likes then other fans will also coming towards liking the page.
As for as facebook likes are concerned I think its very helpful for the business. Because of social media era. The more you have like the more you will be famous and your business will be growing towards success.

And that right there is EXACTLY why people are okay with buying FaceBook likes. The more popular you appear, the more people there are that will like your page.

I have to agree with Chase on this one from past experience with a couple of my own FB fanpages.
Going into it, I knew that I wasn't going to get any response back from the purchased fans, but it did give me the Social Proof that I was looking for. For example, whenever someone typed in my keyword that I was targeting for that fanpage, because my fan page had the most fans, people clicked on my page and I gain new fans.

But, as new fans were added, I would delete a couple fake ones as I go. So it really depends on how you are using the purchased fans, use them for social proof then dump them after you get real fans. FAKE IT, TILL YOU MAKE IT, right?

Also, everyone here on the Warrior Forum should be on that site Empire Network(not Empower Network). You can get all the fans you want there, with a little effort. I've just recently got, heavily involved in it. Hit me up if you check it out and have some questions. I'm addicted to it right now.

In my opinion, most of the times, these will be only fake likes, so it doesn't worth to spend money on.

Instead, you should use Facebook Advertisements, which can help you to get targeted traffic for very low prices, and these will be real people, because they liked your site by themselves.

You see. It all depends to your goal. If your aim is to stimulate new recipients in order to make them perform a particular action on your blog/website/social account then yes - Bringing few thousand of Facebook Likes would be a good idea. Craig... but explain... ok, ok here's why :

Potential customer to gain trust for your entity will first check your credibility. Few quick and simple things for him to check are facebook likes, twitter followers etc. in general - HOW POPULAR YOU ARE. Usually those kind of people do NOT check who specifically likes you or follows you. They just peek on numbers and that's all. As you probably figured out, in such a case it's good to have at least 1 thousand of 'likes' on your account.

A little pause here before I continue on the subject and other cases...

For any new product, brand or whatever you wish - It is WELL SEEN to have a 'popular' social accounts. Even if you do not benefit from sending any ads to your followers or 'likers', you will surely benefit from converting your new visitors to customers and forcing them to perform a particular action on your website for example. In big shortcut: Do it, it makes visitors more likely to choose you for their business partner, it gain trust for your entity etc. etc...

Now... back to the other cases

If you aim to make your 'followers' on twitter or 'likers' on facebook to be your future customers then you need a high quality ones. And from experience of at least 2 friends that I know which are running a cyber store and service providing website, it is a bad idea to buy 'likes' or 'followers' just to send them a bunch of marketing stuff. Compare it to cheating on your own self. Let's say you are a teen again and are trying to participate in a self improvement contest regarding writing a 400 word essay each week for 2 months. You express a desire to do it but then just because you are lazy or whatever the reason, you use content generating software. At the end personally you don't benefit from anything and that's how the story ends. Simply what I want to express is that if you aim to use sophisticated marketing methods then you need a targeted recpienets. Most often people who will want to follow or like you, will want to know more on a particular subject. So called 'Buy facebook likes' or 'buy twitter followers' are not what you want. Why ? Cause even if they are not bot-made accounts, they are surely just a social-exchange accounts of real people that maybe only in 1% will be interested in your offer. Why again? Because they are just a 'general users' and not 'targeted users'.

Its better to spend the money for a campaign to grab your fb likes rather than purchase it .
Because most of the fan page selling are unable to monetize or full with robot accounts. It would be rather to use the money for FB Ads and might get back more active user likes or go with some giveaways and grab the likes.

I agree that buying likes is a waste of money. These fans are usually fake and will only hurt your rankings down the road. Start with a group of your real friends, family, or colleagues and use creative ways to grow organically from there -- like contests, a storefront, or hide/reveal features.

Whether or not this achieves a particular goal(I can see few viable ones), if you allow yourself to deceive people by making your page appear more popular than it is, then you are disrespecting yourself and others. You can make your page grow without deception, and you can test your creativity to find ways to do so, becoming more competent and experienced along the way. Being OK with deceptions like this early on can contaminate your entire business ethic, because you will rationalize taking short cuts over and over at the expense of your clients and customers.

    I say terrible idea.

I think this idea about needing 'social proof' to get someone to like a Fan Page is a joke.

There are two distinct conversations going on here.

One one hand people who run 'Websites' are getting fake 'Likes' to enhance the 'social value' of their website.

On the other hand people are buying fake Likes to their fan page with no regard to their website.

I can tell you from direct experience that if you're building a Fan Page for engagement on Facebook you don't need any 'social value' to get people to Like you. They will like you based on the content.

If you have a website and you're trying to fool people into thinking you're popular you have more issues than you can imagine

    Fake likes are useless.

Buying followers is bad, because it’s not an honest, mutual relationship of sharing information, but rather paying someone to hang out with you, or that is, offering some compensation for hanging out with you as simple as that. Buying Likes and other attempts to artificially inflate social prowess is becoming all too common. In essence, a Facebook page and Twitter with purchased Likes is merely a facade for a strategy that lacks substance.

Well I think buying some fans for your page it could not effect because most of time they are fake but as in this world there are many people who just become a fan of a page where they see many likes or fans, so it could work but the main purpose will die with this type of things and you will not willing to work on your page and make a social network.

Do buy like from other website, use facebook ads to get some likes or fan. But for conversion or for your site traffic you need significant like, minimum 50,000. One of my friend facebook page has over 1,00,000 like and he post funny video of image in his blog and then post link on his page and earn money with his adsense ad without any hardwork.

Some people will buy just enough fakes in order so secure a name. For instance, until you have 30 likes you can not pick your Fan Page name with the shorter extension. FaceBook does this to keep people from page squatting. Grabbing up pages like domains in hopes to profit from them. They will also take your page from you if they see you are not the owner of the product or company.

Buying Facebook likes is counterproductive. Not only are they usually fake, the real ones are not targeted and usually will not interact with you because of the lack of interest in your page. Getting likes organically may take a while but it is worth the effort in the long term.

I made a purchase of almost 2000 facebook fans and followers from this FansPlusFollowers. It seems quite better somehow. Obviously all could not be people or active users. But to some extent it seems better than before. It was for a client. The popularity increased, some sort of activity as well.

I noticed their price is $ 20 per each 1,000 fans.

I bought few times from socialfanmonster they have a very ugly website because they are just direct suppliers,
but the quality was excellent, real and active facebook users.

That was my best experience so far in buying facebook fans.

Buying paying facebook likes is not a good investment, because of bots, most of the accounts used in this are for spamming purposes only and do not have any friends or real friends. So it is not viral.

Like many other said before, these fans are usually fake, or like-farm profiles. If you want fans who are genuinely interested in your page and will interact a lot, don't bother. However, boosting your like numbers a bit can make your page look more popular, which can get you more legit likes (many won't agree, but it works for me). Same applies for Twitter followers.

Buying fans/followers is a real waste of money. Also imagine your page having 700 likes and then dropping to 600 or lesser after the period of contract has expired. Even if there is no such contract, people are going to 'unlike' or 'unfollow' in a while if they are active users whom you paid for. Another reason why you want a good number of fans/followers is to have more interaction. Most of these paid groups do not interact as much.

I have not bought any fan to my Facebook, but I am paying Facebook for my ads. In my opinion, I prefer to build up solid fan base by offering valuable content regularly. The number of fans will do nothing to you unless you interact with them - which is also the idea behind the whole socia media world.

Buying facebook likes is just not good the reason that 90% of the time the sellers just provide you with multi account likes. fb likes that comes from inactive accounts.

The best way I have found is to actually try a social media exchanging site. For example like likenation.com and that way you get real facebook likes eventhough all of the likes might not be interessted in your product but there's also a chance that some people will be interessted.
it will benefit you in one other way: and that is that people often look at how many likes your page has before liking it, less people will like your page if you have a couple of likes only thats why you need the number of likes also.

it really depends on the quality of the fans you buy,and it would be very effective if it will proceed in good manner because it will definitely increase the popularity and hence it will grab the attention of others viewers and it will instantly increase a kind of interest for others.

Buying Facebook Fans will only give you visually satisfying numbers. Recently, Facebook's decreasing organic reach has grabbed attention. Here is a video that explains why, purchasing Facebook fans doesn't give engagement and where do these fans come from. Fake it till you make it. Facebook Ads gone wrong! http://on.fb.me/1qiI9yw

    Hope this helps

it is not useful..because you will get only numbers and not real likes..real like means people who are really interested in your products and moreover those likes will stay in your page only for few days and then they will unlike your page..i have seen many cases like this

With bought facebook fans you will not get interaction. So there is no point. Good targeting and good quality content will drive you more facebook users.

It's an essentially useless thing to do. First of all, your fans will probably be "fake" so all you're getting is a fancy number. Secondly, even if that "popularity" gets your page noticed, eventually your posts are only going to reach 3% of your fans. That's not really worth anything.
The only way you can change that is to pay facebook to promote your posts.
So, if you don't have the money to pay FB directly right away, I think you shouldn't waste it buying fake fans.

  • if you get the fake likes then you have wasting your time and money because its true you get the traffic from that page but you didnt able to sale your product in bulk so its not an effective method you have to post daily on your page and add an interesting material on your facebook page then people automatically came on your page

I wouldn't recommend anyone for buying fans as all of them are bots.

you should NEVER buy likes for any of your social media accounts. Real likes are never going to be sold will they? If somebody is selling likes than it means those likes are FAKE.They won't convert, and they'll become a liability rather then an investment.

It all boils down to what you want.
If you are buying LIKES to boast social-proof, they may do the trick and will bolster that you have a "huge" facebook page following
    or
if you want to flourish a community of evangelist who may live and breath with what you have to say and offer, its a complete wastage.

So first ask youself, why are you thinking?
P.S: Buying FB likes is against FB TOS. They generally exacerbate a page's edge rank, impairs reach and at times, can get your page banned. There are some freelancers who provide somewhat real likes but those people are inert and don't interact on your page.

"Paid likes " are nothing more then a numbers . its just a one time traffic ,If u want good results through social media i will recommend you to go through the natural way of getting likes ie posting stuff & interacting with users . Surely the natural way is hard but it not only get u active users but it will also give you a loyal traffic for your site or product .

If your aim is to make your page look like it has a lot of likes, then yes buying Facebook likes can be a good thing. That's just the numbers though, and if your aim is to sell to them, you probably wouldn't be able to achieve good results. Most that like your Facebook page through that wouldn't even exist and just have the account to earn money. Instead of buying likes, I recommend advertising your page on Twitter and other platforms.
