TweetAdder & Suspended Account Warning

Heads up...

I've been a TweetAdder fan for years and was never too aggressive. It worked. I stopped using it. Here's why:

Over the last several months, a few of my friends got their accounts suspended using it. One was following less than 100 new people a day.

I sent a question to support and am awaiting a reply.

Twitter implemented a new monitoring system, if you use any third party management to gain followers aggressively which is about 15-20 per day you will be suspended.
Even if you use twitter itself to gain followers fast you will be suspended...

one problem is in new twitter rules - you can now follow daily even 1000 followers, but they have now semi-hour intervals...what means that you can follow maybe some e.g. 100 followers within half an hour...then make pause...and then after some time you can follow another 100 followers within half an hour...etc, but they also are also watching more carefully on following/unfollowing behavior - what can also lead to suspension...

I would highly suggest you keep doing it manually. Automated follows are risky nowadays and getting suspended means great losses. When doing manually you can follow up to 2000 guys staggered but after that you are blocked from following any more guys untill your followers ratio increases. They havent shared the ratio they use yet but you can unfollow those not following you back and continue. Tiresome but it works.

Personally I stopped using Tweetadder. I had some difficulties upgrading from version 3 to version 4. The big disadvantage of Tweetadder is one has to be always online. I want to plan messages in advance so now I use HootSuite.

Me too I faced problems and even one of my twitteraccounts had been blocked bc I followed and unfollowed too many people in a short period of time.

I use tweet adder 4.0 I agree that the old version was better because it was automated. But ever since Twitter changed the rules doing it manually is a small price to pay considering you could lose your entire account if you use automated features. I add about 300-500 people a day and unfollow 300-500 a day. I space them out over each hour or couple of hours. I've been doing this since the update and I've never once been suspended. I hope this helps!

Sounds like you have a system

So you add 300 to 500 a day but you space them out say 50 in an hour then 50 in the next hour?

Do people ever get their twitter accounts back after suspensions?

I add and unadd people about 50- 100 per hour...sometimes i skip an hour because I am usually doing something else. Sometimes I follow up to 800 people in a day if I'm really going at it. I get almost a 1000 new followers a week...Maybe 1000 every two weeks...I recommend taking it slow. Also search tweets like f4f in the beginning that way you get a fanbase...then go crazy in whatever niche you plan to be in.

    Hey guys,
I have been using Tweetadder and my account has been suspended. I was following maybe 100 every couple of days and unfollowing 100 or so every three days - all done manually but from within Tweetadder. I was doing it all in one go and I guess reading the posts above, this was a mistake. I have applied to have the suspension lifted but am just waiting to find out if they will. It does seem that Tweetadder 4 is watered down majorly.

I am pleased to report that my account suspension has been lifted and more than that, I received an apology. They said that use automated systems to try and block spam accounts and that my account was suspended by mistake. It has be reinstated with full followers and following as was prior to the suspension.
