Facebook or Twitter? What do you find is best?

Obviously social media is a huge method today to gather attention and traffic to your offers, but from your own experiences which do you believe is the best out of the two and why?
#facebook #find #twitter

I think both work well, it just depends on what your selling. I like to use twitter, becuase you can find really targeted people to follow and get them to follow you back and you can build a really targeted community of prospects.

I only use Twitter to connect to my Facebook pages, so FB does all the heavy lifting, which allows Twitter to gather some extra traffic.

Plus, FB brings in the money ...

      So Facebook hands down

I find Facebook traffic converts much better and has higher CTRs for me, so I'd have to get a lot more Twitter followers than fans for the same clicks and conversions.

I think part of that reason is the average person on Twitter is following a lot more people than people on Facebook are following of fan pages. On twitter they might be following 3000 tweeters, and on Facebook following 80 fan pages, so they're more likely to see the updates and it's more interactive.

I would recommend using both, Facebook and Twitter. Furthermore, I recommend branding them with unique images and messages that represent your brand and encourage people to visit your website. The key to any social media platform is keep publishing or linking content and cross link when possible. Both are good social signals for SERPs too. Both will help you reach and connect with people to follow your brand, service, business, etc.

      Hope this helps.

From an SEO perspective, both, and I'll explain why:
    - You put tier 1 links (links pointing to your main page) on Facebook.
    - Connect FB to Twitter
    - When you post to FB, it gets sent to Twitter.
    - Twitter tweets out links pointing to your Facebook pages, and your FB links are your tier 1 links to your main webpage.
    - So your Twitter links are tier 2 links (links pointing not to your webpage, but to your tier 1 links), which build up the "importance" of your FB links, making your primary tier 1 links more valuable.

    Additionally:
There are smart ways to build tons of followers on Twitter, but that's another thread. Twitter is rel=nofollow, and that's great; it's not rel=noindex (there's a difference, and ppl confuse these often). I get sites indexed frequently and regularly on there. Then, in addition to all of the tier 2 links that are automatically tweeted via FB pointing to your FB page, start tweeting 2 or 3 links with bitly or some other link shortener that uses 301 perm redirects to your main webpage. So you'll have tier 1 and tier 2 links in an authority site (Twitter) being indexed regularly. That's a good thing!

    In summation:
You'll reap the benefits of both. And best of all? All these links get disseminated around, retweeted, your FB page builds followers -- and that's the BEST SEO -- visitors actually clicking the damn links!

If you have any further questions, feel free to PM me. Hope this helped!

Facebook because you can make it into your own mini sized blog with an optin form.

Personally I like LinkedIn.com better. It just more professional and like the Warrior forum with the groups and all, you can gain a lot of knowledge and be around a lot of like-minded people.

I look at Twitter as just some free, extra traffic which makes it worth it. But you should expect more traffic from FaceBook

I don't have either one but I prefer twitter. People on facebook are just freaks. Facebook ruins people's lives... Twitter is just a basic yet nice plain social network with less drama that facebook has.
