Selling Social Media Management

I'm planning to outsource my clients' social media management but the problem is that few providers provide detail of what's included in their SM service such as how many blog posts, tweets, bla bla bla.

My goal is to provide the best value for my clients and this makes it difficult to compare providers. How do others deal with this or should I keep shopping until I find providers who do provide detail?

Thanks.

You're probably going to have to reach out to providers specifically and request more detail if they don't go into detail on their website. I would suggest just typing up a quick template email, and shooting it off to all the providers you are interested in (just remember to change the name in the template when referring to the specific provider you are reaching out to).

I guess I wasn't clear enough. I talked to them, they don't give detail and say it depends on what the client needs.

That actually isn't abnormal to hear from social media companies. What you most likely will need to do is get your clients to fill out some type of questionnaire on your website or in person to find out exactly what they want you to handle, then pass it on to the company you're outsourcing to for a quote.

No problem, there are also 2 contracts you may want to look into.

The first would be a non-disclosure contract to make sure that social media company doesn't get in touch with your client and steal them directly from you.

The second would be some type of privacy policy that basically gives you permission to release your customer's username and password to the social media company you're outsourcing to. Something about how personal information may be shared with partners or vendors but won't be used for marketing purposes. I'd suggest getting in touch with kindsvater about contracts like that and find out his pricing.

Talk to them, you're paying the company so make sure you're comfortable with the vendor beforehand.
