How is this marketer getting so much action on Facebook? Shady tricks?
There is an internet marketer that has appeared on my Facebook wall because he is using some sponsored stories. What strikes me as interesting though was the incredible amount of likes and comments on content that is just slightly better than average.
So I checked out his Facebook page to inspect more. He started his page on July 2012 and all his early posts have a 5-20 likes, 3-15 comments and a few shares...nothing out of the ordinary.
This went on until Jan 27th, 2013 where he had a big bump and now had 300-500 likes, 100-300 comments and 100-300 shares...but with no noticeable difference in the quality of content.
These likes, comments and shares continued until February 14, 2013 at which time there was a massive bump to 10,000-15,000 likes, 8,000-15,000 comments and heaps of shares. And again, his content didnt really change much.
This marketer is promoting something called 'Empower Now' or something like that.
I have a hard time believing he is naturally getting all of this Facebook interaction. My two thoughts are that he is simply paying a heck of a lot to Facebook in advertising/sponsored stories because the ROI is positive (doubtful to me). Or that he has created or become part of a large group of self-promoters who all comment on their 'friends' walls to boost popularity hence increasing outside users likelyhood to enter their funnel?
Do any of you have thoughts on what may be happening?
