Simple Question about FB and on your WP blog

This is quite embarrassing ...........but how the heck do I link from my Wordpress blog to my business Facebook page (and getting that big F symbol appearing on side of blog so blog readers can go to my FB Page) ?

I know it is something simple I assume but I must be making it harder than it is?

    You have a few different options. You can use a plugin like this: WordPress › Simple Social Icons « WordPress Plugins.

    If it's just for your sidebar, you can use a text widget and place the icon image in there and just link it to your Facebook page. You can get the icon from here: Facebook Icons - Download 119 Free Facebook icons here

    Or my personal favorite, install a Like Box from Facebook: Like Box - Facebook Developers

    +1 vote for the like box from developers.facebook.com

    Some of the plugins that supposedly make it easy can clash with other plugins and have caused us problems in the past. The facebook developers like box has always worked well.

    Just make sure to choose only one of the options given above. That keeps things simple. Using more than one social media button in a single page may actually discourage people from clicking on your button. In this case, less is more.

      Use the Like Box plugin. But be aware that since this is a JavaScript widget, it might slow your website down.

      If speed is not a concern for you (aka your website is reasonably fast at load), go for it. Otherwise, use a simple hyperlinked icon / image.
