Facebook Group vs. Autoresponder

My situation: I've been using an autoresponder for a LONG time and haven't had much success with it in terms of people actually opening the emails being sent and sales generated. People subscribe, but really don't do anything more after that.

I drip content/offers to them through the autoresponder, but not much sales is being generated through it. (kind of ticks me off because I feel as if I'm missing something with this whole internet marketing thing, but that's another issue)

So, what I'm thinking of doing is just trashing the autoresponder thing all together and just use a FB group page instead. Instead of people opting in to receive my emails, they'll have to join the FB group. (at least I think I can do this). Then, I can promote to that group, right?

Am I looking at this the right way? If not, please set me straight if you can. If I am, any tips would be highly appreciated.

An FB group is also a great idea to gather people that share the same interests. This will be easier to get them to participate so you get more ideas on how to promote your business but I don't support trashing your autoresponder. You should figure out why they are not responding to your offers. There are many factors that can affect this even the smallest details such as the subject lines can cause a person to disregard the email.

    Cobaki, Thanks for your input.

I've changed and tried so much over the years I'm at a loss. Won't get into details, but I feel I'm just missing one little piece of this whole internet marketing puzzle!

Just don't want to keep putting $$ into an autoresponder if money isn't be generated that way.

    Money is in the list.

Check out the mails sent by the top industry marketers.

This will help you understand what all they write and what kind of offer they promote via mails.

Provide them with freebies, information about how they can improve their earnings and then market something to them.

FB group is a nice idea but people come to facebook to relax , not to buy.

Why not do both? It never hurts to have more than one connection to your subscribers. You can even invite your current subscribers to join your facebook group.
