Facebook Photos / SEO

Such a newbie question---does the actual name of the photo help for ranking your FB page. Let's say I am ranking for organic grown basil---and I post tons of basil photos---I am assuming these should be named "organic-basil-garden.jpg" vs "th2442.jpg" ??? If so--major brain fart on my part. I have been labeling all my photos with time and date for my scheduler to identify. Grrrr.

I'm pretty sure FB renames the photos after they are uploaded. I'm pretty sure it doesn't help.

oh---shoot---thanks anyway, I thought this would help for sure and I was missing out. I was wondering how everyone's Facebook images are coming up in google search? KW in the caption I am guessing.

You can post captions to the photos which will help if they are posted to your wall, but I agree with the others in that facebook renames the images. You can right click on any image and click 'copy image URL' to confirm that.

I agree with screentext, this is the way facebook treats the images you upload.
