Thinking of using Facebook comments in Wordpress or Blogger? You can, but read this first.

If you use, or are considering using Facebook comment boxes in your blog, you need to change your code.

Problem: The Facebook Comments page code will not work for your blog if you just copy paste. It will just give you this error "This plugin requires an href parameter". You will need to put a dynamic URL in there. And a dynamic time stamp. And a migrated parameter. But of course Facebook doesn't tell you all this. They only tell you about the migrated parameter at the very bottom of their comments plugins page here.

And if you follow those instructions, you are left with a very unprofessional warning message below your comment box for all your visitors to see. "Warning: this comments plugin is operating in compatibility mode, but has no posts yet. Consider specifying an explicit ‘href’ as suggested in the comments plugin documentation to take advantage of all plugin features"

That's where they leave you hanging. No way to figure out how to make the explicit href dynamic to all your blog and wordpress pages.

Solution: Luckily I stumbled across an official solution.

It worked for me on Blogger. He also has a solution for Wordpress, Tumblr and more. Hope it helps. And hopefully I just saved you hours of research.
