Hello all, I just started my own page 2 weeks ago and I decided to start learning how to use ads to make my page better, but I'm still not sure whether or not this is a good CTR for my ad. This ad has been running the last 36 hours roughly.

Looks good but you didn't give a ton of info.. Is this facebook? I don't do any facebook ads but if it was those seem like good numbers to me. 18 bucks for almost two thousand clicks seems great. Not sure what the ad is too. Is it to a facebook fan page and what are you trying to accomplish with the ad?

It's a facebook fanpage, I'm trying to get as many likes as possible but eventually I want them to turn into a profit.

Paying about $20 for +1,000 target likes, yeah that's good. It becomes cheaper the longer you keep the ad running and increase clicks you get.

That's not bad, especially if it's your first campaign. Keep tweaking the add and improving the CTR.

Anything above 1% is a very good CTR on Facebook. If you are running more than 1 type of Ad ( for ex- Page Like Ads & Sponsored Stories) then go through the reports and pause the poor performing one to further improve your results.

Thanks everyone, I actually deleted the sponsored story due to it being a cost of. 28 cents per like but it seems like every min or so i get a new like from this current ad so I guess I should be happy.

      Hi Seiferxi,

I tend not to worry about my ctr or my likes. I want to know how much am I paying to get x no of optins to my email list.

I know how much an optin is worth to me so I want to ensure I'm running my ads at a profit.

So whilst $18 for 1300 likes sounds good, if I'm not making a profit from those likes, it's almost useless.

I would add a product as soon as possible to your funnel, send all your clicks to an optin page on your facebook page and begin measuring your optin conversions and your sales conversions. Then you can begin to measure how much you're willing to pay per optin!

      I hope that helps!

I currently have 3000 likes and I don't want to do that at the moment, I want to be able to get a bigger fanbase and build rapport before I start trying to make any money off anyone. I see it causing a negative impact on my page if I try to start selling things at such a low of volume of users, and yes I have a lot of users who are involved with the page but who knows what the turnover rate would be for profit.

This is current as of 12:20pm MST, I'm noting that yesterday wasn't as great due to it being Memorial Day I ended up paying .03 per click yesterday. More then likely I will pause my campaign on the next holiday.
