How can the followers recieve the notice of "new pin"? you can see it on recent activity on following page

There's no way to send notices to your followers when you have new pins. You just have to hope that they see them when you post them.

When users login to their Pinterest account, all recent activity from pinners that they follow is on the main page. But what shows up there depends on how many people they're following and how active those people are.

I don't know of any certain standards for getting your pins listed in the popular category. I've studied the popular pins trying to figure out if it requires a certain number of re-pins to get there, but some pins only have 10-15 re-pins, while others have dozens or hundreds. I can't see any rhyme or reason to it.

It's better to have a few larger accounts than a bunch of smaller ones, unless each one targets a different niche. Get as many followers as you can by following other people, liking and commenting on their pins.

You can tag some followers so they see your new pins...and post them at "prime times"..usually lunch , after dinner, and on Sundays. These are the times the most people are active and your pins will be in more people's feeds. You can also comment on other people's pins. Many will return the favor and it *may boost your chance of being popular.

Use Keywords to make your boards visible from the search engine. They should be in board title, and part of each pin and description.

You can also invite others to pin onto a group board. Everyone in the group will get a notification of the new pins.

I don't know how Pinterest determines which boards show up first, but it probably has something to do with the number of pins on the board and/or the number of re-pins of your pins.

One strategy you can use is naming your boards with its relevant keyword. That will help you get a better SEO-based rank on Pinterest. Remember, pins are do-follow and that means, Google does indexed these pins and boards.

Certainly keyword are important. Pin and re pin images and provide links which gets into your website. Compose boards and name it according to your niche keywords. Follow other boards and of course to the ones who follow you.

To gain lots of views and followers in pinterest you have to remember one thing; make sure to post attractive pictures.For me, you don't have to make small accounts but at least make some strategies to optimize your pin. I usually follow people and pin the things I like. Make it like a typical social media and you'll gain lots of views from your followers. There's a notification that appears when a new pin was added, it's like a bar at the side.

one more thing about getting found...your pins on the boards should also have the key words listed. Don't forget to return likes on the boards of people who have liked your pins..it is a courtesy.

I assumed you're referring to contributor boards? I haven't found any way to locate them specifically. (There's another thread in this forum where we're discussing that.)
