Twitter stats help?

I hope someone can help me with a query I have regards Twitter. Are there any stats that indicate how many people who receive a tweet with a link to a website, actually visit the site?

Any help or advice would be gratefully received.

    You should use an analytics engine to look at where people are coming from. If you want to see a specific link, you'll need a link management tracking system to generate the link (there ARE ways to do this with Google Analytics) and then track the number of clicks/visits.

    Thanks very much for your response icemonkey9 however our website isn't live yet and I was trying to get a handle on what other people get or if there are industry stats (as guidance)? If I sent 1 million tweets to people interested in the subject matter of my website what percentage would click through to the website via a link in the tweet? Are we talking 0.5%, 1%, 5%??

      Well if you realy wanna track that how many visits you have from your twitter status, you should use the Google Analytic and google campaign builder, where you can build your campaigns for every single domain and track that how many visits you are getting from your twitter status.

        But are there any industry standards that I can work to? I'm trying to get an idea of how many hits my site will get when we start tweeting the site (we have 10 million followers on Twitter via partners etc but no website yet and it won't launch till August)?

        Any suggestions?
