yes they will unsuspend you. First you need to file a report saying you arent using anything automated. Then they will send you an automated email...Respond to that email saying the same thing, that you weren't using anything automated and you are using twitter manually. Usually takes a day or two for them to respond but they will follow up saying they will unsuspend your account within 24 hours.

Yes twitter suspends accounts, especially if you are using automated tools and if your account has suspicious activities.

Yeah my account got suspended yesterday or the day before sometime. I got on, had 0 followers, 0 following, and nothing had shifted with my account posting wise. I was really confused. I filed a report. They emailed and said if I didn't break the rules to respond to the email that I received. It's been about 30 hours at this point. I think it said like 3-4 days turnaround time. We'll see...

Same happened with me. I can still see all my followers updates but it says 0 and 0. I think they must have done another clean up this week as I think a number of folks have got hit this week.

What annoys me is that we rarely ever post on twitter. And the whole bloody goal of the place is to share updates, follow people.

If they dont want people following they should just remove the damn option.

Meanwhile in the world people are starving, being killed etc etc and twitter has nothing better to do than suspend accounts. Annoying

I've heard if you email them to much they put you to the bottom of the queue lol.

Ive heard people get removed within 24hrs, others a week, others 2 weeks and some never.

I wouldn't mind if it was just some crappy account but the name is tied to our website.

Update on this one: They upheld the 3-4 days turnaround time. I got most of my followers and followings back. It was interesting because I lost about 15 people from both my followers and followings. I know I didn't unfollow anybody in the process, so it was definitely a system thing.

All-in-all, really annoying. I'm just glad I didn't have to start from ground zero all over again. I had put a lot of hours into organically building my followers.

Yes, they will unsuspend your account. Not really sure what their policy is now, in terms of following/unfollowing etc.

It's been 48 hours now since our account was suspended and still nothing.

Originally when we first emailed them we got the usual automated reply that everyone gets. i.e reply back to this email. We did that but nothing since.

Pisses me off. Like if anyone they should go after its celebrities not the little guy

I had my account suspended 2 days ago. I appealed and just had what amounts to an apology from them and they are reinstating it. While suspended my account showed 0 followers and following. However, now back up to where it was pre-suspension.

Mine got suspended on Tuesday and I just got it back today. I sent the help desk ticket Tuesday morning and followed up with the email... Waited 48 hours and emailed again. I finally got a reply and an apology. Apparently I was mistakenly included in a bulk purge.

Now if you legitimately violate their terms, I'm not sure if you can get the suspension lifted. I think it depends on the offense.

They will eventually unsuspend it if you weren't breaking their rules, but don't expect a quick reply for a service you're using for completely free.

I got both my twitter accounts suspended before and they unsuspended within 24 hours for both. There should be a link to read the terms and conditions and then request reinstatement.

I got my account suspended when I first started out. I was over enthusiastic, and followed more than 100 people in a day.

They gave me a link where I can send them a message requesting them to unsuspend my account. That's all it took. They unsuspended it.

I think you need to first figure out why they suspended your account (was it because of mass following, all your tweets having links and so on), and then contact them about the issue.

Twitter has a (I believe it is still this) 450 quota per day. As long as you stick to that 200 per day line, you should be fine if you're trying to follow a bunch of people at once.

So it took about one week to get your account reinstated?

I've heard of people that were banned for a longer time so I think you're lucky!

As long as you're not doing lots of automation with your account, following or unfollowing aggressively, you should be good.

Yeah, could take weeks though. I have had a few accounts suspended. Never mention a bunch of people you don't know, its considered spam..

Yup as you can read above they suspend if you play knotty....but if you follow the instructions you should get your account back...if not you will be just fine starting over and play nice, (for a while at least)..

It has happened to us at the start up. Just email the help and explain that you didn't violate the terms. Reply to the email that you are required to and then you wait a few days. It takes a little longer than you'd think. Good Luck!

Yes Twitter will Unsuspend your account once .. just make sure you stop doing what they might have suspended it for in the first place or it will be gone forever.. :-)

Twitter has also suspended my accounts. The worst thing is that it did not send any notification before suspending my account. I had e-mailed the support team to active my accounts again. But this has not happened yet.
