Twitter recently opened up their advertising for SMBs as well. Has anyone tried Promoted Tweet or Promoted Account? Did it work for you? What is the CPF (Cost Per Follow) you incurred?

I am launching a new online fitness program - prelaunch 18th June - Launch day 25th June.

We will be using Twitter as one method to drive traffic to the squeeze page.

I will let you know how it goes and what is effective and what isn't.

I had 703 new followers on Twitter in the last week. I use building my following and the wording I use in my personal bio as part of my marketing plan. I don't spam it by saying "Hey everyone check this out". Instead, I say about myself and at the end I say "Check out my site". That's all you need to say and it works for me.

    I hope this helps.

I got a free $50 credit to advertise on Twitter, so I tried it out a couple weeks ago. It burned through the credit in a couple of hours, but it did bring in a number of new followers. I'm sure with some testing and tweaking the cost per interaction, it would be a good advertising tool.
