Pinterest is a great source to get traffic to your website. If you have an opt-in form on your site you can collect leads and keep in touch with them via your autoresponder. But you can't really keep in touch with them via Pinterest itself.

You want to pin some images daily to keep yourself in front of your followers. This provides more opportunities for them to visit your site and sign up for your list and/or buy something.

And the more followers you have, the more you'll gain because they'll re-pin some of your pins to their own boards, which allows their followers to see them.
