I just came across this interesting article about Facebook Ads on Mashable:

http://mashable.com/2013/07/08/faceb...osts-business/

I wanted to know if your guys use Facebook Ads and if so, do they work for you and your company seeing as you could potentially target millions and millions of users per day!

I have used and use Facebook ads for my clients.

I think the system is great, it can be highly targeted and if you know your potential clients and business could be floating around on Facebook then go for it. You do need somewhat of a budget to make it work for you. We have found getting the best results come from deals and coupons etc, sharing something that is worthwhile sharing as opposed to advertising a page/group, we have not had success with this for clients in the past.

If your targeting millions and millions of users then your ad is to vague and your targeting is to general. The power of Facebook ads is NOT the number of users on Facebook it is that with all the personal data Facebook has about there users you can laser target your ads to show only to those most interested in the ad.

Perfectly said. The more precise your target audience is, the more successful your ad will be. Targeting 1 million people with an ad may bring some results, but I guarantee you will see much better results when you advertise to a small group of "laser targeted" people.

Always narrow down your targeted audience as if you dont target right audience, you will b losing money on your Ads.
There is no need to reach millions; millions who might not be interested in your Ads.
Reach to thousands who would be more interested in your Ad.

facebook is very time intensive as well. You have to keep watching your click thru rate and change the ad as soon as the CTR starts dropping. But if you target properly you can get perfectly qualified leads to your site. I am playing with targeting ads to people who already like my competition. Those guys have done the hard work finding a targeted list and I can market directly to them. pretty cool
