Facebook? Sponsored posted or ad?

We have a Children's Clothing & Accesory Boutique on Facebook. We only started a couple of months ago, so we only have 330 Likes. Only a few sales so far. Budget is limited. I know we need to get the Likes up, to get the customer base up, to get the sales to follow. (We also own the domain to our name and are working on our website)

We have been researching the ads and sponsored posts. That is how I ran across this forum. I see everyone saying use ads to get more likes. Are you referring to the ads on the side of the page or the sponsored posts?

  • Yes thats the one people talk about, you will see Ads on the right side on the face book.

But that is not an end, Face Book also allow to have your Ads in NewsFeed which is another very effective way of reaching your potential customers.
  • I think that facebook ads is good for you
  • If your looking for likes then you should run an ad. A sponsored post would be more for something like your having a sale and want to be sure all your followers know about it.

    • My concern with ads over sponsored posts is viewing. I personally use my iPad much more than my laptop. Many of my customers use their iPhones shopping during the day. Ads don't show on iPads and iPhones. Sponsored post do show up.

We have been running photos with, Like, Share, Comment written on them. A description of what to do (like our page, share the photo, and comment that they did so), is listed with the photo. When we get 50 more Likes, we do a drawing and give that outfit away. Would this be good for an ad or a sponsored post to draw more Likes?
