Yext vs Localeze vs Manual Listings

I'm toying with getting either Yext, Localeze or manually submitting some local listings for my clients.

If I go with Yext, I realize it's a pretty penny to drop for what I'm actually getting, but I love the easy usability factor.

If I go with Localeze, they actually claim to have 100+ listing partners and they are cheaper than Yext, though not as pretty.

If I say forget it and decide to manually do what I consider to be the "premier handful" of listings, then it's pretty much free minus the time spent.

What I consider the Premier Handful:
  1. Google Places
  2. Bing Places
  3. Yahoo! Local
  4. Yelp
  5. YP.com
If anything, YP.com is the wild card and can be interchanged with something else, but the top 4 are heavily trafficked sites that people trust like none other. A Facebook Business page would be a good sub-in.

All this said, is it super necessary to go beyond the "Premier Handful" for local businesses who only market within their metropolitan areas?

    I wouldn't recommend either they both have there problems #1 soon as you cancel sometimes it disappears or reverts back to the state it was in before you hired them (YEXT) they also don't look for duplicates or fix incorrect data and generic doesn't rank Google Places I am running a WSO on this type of service and it includes much more than just citation building.

    I'm a Yext Certified Partner, it's really not that expensive if you have a need to update your listings on a semi-frequent basis. It saves me time working for clients, it's part of my subscription. I use Yext for my business, it's definitely a lot easier having a single portal to update all of those channels.

    Also, I almost became a UBL certified partner, but their sales rep told me they were using the Yext network. Whoops.

    just do it manually. why would you pay someone $500 a year to put your business online ? once its up, it should stay up.

    Best way to create citations by Manual submissions. We should use correct business information, add images, videos or articles (if available). Also, its very important to have different content in local listings.

        It's probably just cheaper to freelance the citation process out to a good freelancer on Odesk.

        If you can find someone with a Localeze reseller account, you can get subscriptions for less than the $297 a year they charge. For instance, we only charge $150 to Local SEO companies.

        Yext seemed like a rip off to me at the time I checked into it (2 years ago). Maybe it's not anymore but I have had heard the rumor that they revert your listings back once you stop paying for them.

      Yext is a great company and good service. but I prefer manual work. its 100% in detail you have access forever on login details(even cheaper). + you have no tension about NAP changes problem in future. if you change your business NAP its a mess via Yext to clean it.
