Facebook - LIKE/ SHARE marketing??

Hi,

I have noticed people who make posts and request friends to LIKE it or share it. The posts are simple funny etc. If we see it in terms of marketing, what advantage one can get by LIKE on there posts or requesting SHARE. The posts are common funny cartoon..

Are they doing any marketing work?

Please guide me if there is any such thing in facebook?

    Certainly this is a marketing tactic.
    I do it as well to get more likes and share of the image or video for my images and videos to get more exposure on the Face Book.
    In fact it is very useful way of marketing on Face Book.

    You can do that, if you put something like "Share. Like. Comment" before your post on top of your image (if there's any) and something like this can happen in a couple of hours

      Hi guys,

      I'm just getting into Facebook fan pages and one of the things I wanted to know is how long you keep advertising Likes to your pages for? In other words, have you a number of Likes you are aiming to reach before you stop advertising - say, when you reach 5000 Likes?

      Also, when do you start to try and monetize your fan page? Again, do you wait until you get to a certain number of Likes before you post links to offers?

    This is a good way of promotion, it it is all done to get likes and engage people over any post. This can be a great marketing strategy.

    When people "Like" or "Share" something it shows up in their news feed and on their wall for their friends to see. This will help your content go viral by putting it in front of a much wider audience. The best way to encourage people to do things is to tell them what to do by placing a call to action in your post.

    Spread the word Click "Share" if you agree with this:

    Regardless of what you do in marketing it's always good to use a clear, concise, call to action in your copy. It will dramatically increase your CTR (Click Through Rate).
