installing client Facebook stuff...howz it work?

Here's a dumb question...if you sell some biz page design or whatever to a local client, I assume you have to get their account login to install stuff? or, does FB have some provision for "webmaster" access or something like that?
thnx

  • Dogstar,

    Few questions are truly dumb.

So do you mean a Facebook Application ? For example a landing page design for an opt in form or some kind of fangated welcome page? If you mean that then no, they would have to just add it to their timeline however you would have to program some method for them to gain access such as an account login feature, etc.

If you are just talking about configuring their account by uploading images to the cover and profile, adding content to their about section and adding custom images to their timeline, then yes, they would have to make you an admin on the page.

    Hope those aren’t dumb answers,

    Best,

    Shawn

You should have the client make you an admin of the fan page. Try to avoid logging into there account, that opens up the potential for all sorts of nonsense.
