Anyone have experience buying facebook likes?

Currently most of my traffic comes from google and facebook and id like to optimize for more facebook likes/fans in order to get more traffic but really cant be bothered doing ppc for likes on their network.

In the past I have purchased likes before and had bad results where by the rate of unlikes after a few days was massive as well as the fans being unresponsive.

Does anyone have any experiences they can share, tips pointers etc.

Cheers.

I've bought likes in the page, knowing that it is not real traffic and it probably wouldn't last forever. I bought it intending to look like I had more of a presence on the internet than someone who had 20 unique likes. All in all I wish I hadn't, it made it harder to track my page and was a waste of money. In the future I'm going to work more hard for more authentic likes.

Those likes don't count as traffic - they're fake accounts.

It really depends though most of these likes come from fake profiles or likes exchange. (which you can sign up and do yourself)

This means it isn't very targeted or active fans; they sure might be real though not necessary active. There are some buy facebook fan that will run a campaign for you through promotional means to get you real fans though those are very few and usually more costly.

The value of these fans are in the social proof. You could also purchase some status shares on other popular fan pages within your niche though it can be hard to find some of these page admins willing to do so.

If you're looking for quality fans it's still more ideal to encourage interaction from your website or use their PPC ads

Yeah, I currently have about 2K fans, all natural real fans that I attracted via PPC for likes on FB's PPC network.

The problem I find is that its costly, those 2K likes cost me about 600 bucks. I do know how to get cheap likes but to be honest i'm too lazy to do all the testing to get a higher CTR and lower price per like. Prefer someone else does it for me.

Wow this comes up so often, I dont understand why people dont understand:

Buying likes will ruin a fan page. Its about the worst thing you can do.

If your willing to pay for likes, spend the money on Facebook ads.

How do I know this? I have been a full time Facebook developer for over 4 years. Guess who hires Facebook developers? People who are successful with Facebook thats who. Not only do I use Facebook for my own products but I work with some very successful Facebook marketers.

Dont buy likes. End of story.

hmmmm... thats not exactly true... some of it is... but not all of it.

I know what you know, hence the reason i'm asking... because I have seen one or two services offering the ppc model but i just cant find them anymore.

The ppc model is exactly the same as doing it yourself only someone else is doing it for you. Technically you are still buying likes, its just the method the provider uses to give you those likes is different and far superior in the case of using facebooks own ppc for likes product.

Everyone (including you) knows I was talking about buying fake likes for show and not about running Facebook ads and/or hiring someone to manage your ads for you.

Sure paying for Facebook ads can be thought of as 'buying likes' .. in the same way as taking a girl out to dinner and a movie could be thought of as 'paying for sex' .. but its really not the same thing, and pretending you didnt know what I was talking about and actually making a post to correct me when you know thats not what I was talking about is really a waste of time and quite frankly lame.

Buying fake likes is nowhere near the same as advertising your page using targeted advertising.

With the former you're getting nothing; with the latter you're getting someone who's genuinely interested. Yes, both cost money, which is all the more reason the former is a waste of time.

You said it yourself - you don't want to be bothered with figuring out what ads work. It takes trial and error, though. The first time I set up a FB ad campaign I got zero likes. The second time I got a couple. And the third time it cost $.10-$.15 per like. There is no get rich quick secret to overnight success.

What is the point of buying Likes?
People should like content on your facebook and your page because they are interested in it.... No one really cares about how many facebook likes a page has but they do care about whether the content that is being posted interests them.

Buying likes is fine if you just want to increase that number at the top of your page, but it wont increase your traffic. Not to mention that a lot of them are unreliable

Try some of these steps to get people to genuinely like you
-facebook ads: you can choose how you pay and how much you want to; you can also target it to your desired demographic.
-ask people on your mailing list and other social networks to like you on Facebook, if you have a website, add a link to your fb page on the landing page
-like other relevant pages, share their content, contact the admins of those pages and try to negotiate some sort of content sharing partnership
-incenitvise liking you by running a contest/sweepstake/offer/discount code
-But the most important is good content, because ultimately that is what your actual audience, will like/share and keep coming back for

Actually there are available auto like software, where you can get likes easily.

Even one person has up to 10 k Facebook id( all are fake)
They like it and you get likes.

Thus, i have experience to buy real like. it is more costly, but effective.

You must like real likes. Then you will get proper result.

If you go with my suggestion then it will be don't buy likes.

When you have real likes of real people then your page will automatically spread to the friends of the likers. So, your likes also increases as well as.

For this you have to give a nice look to your facebook page. Also, post regularly to engage visitors.

dont buy facebook likes, its likely to get you no results and banned by facebook.

I don't think there is any point buying facebook likes. Unless you just want to look good. But from a value point of view it's not going to do much for your business. Probably better off using facebook's in house system to get real interested users liking your page. That will have a far better positive impact on your business

We have been discussing this very thing on our Facebook Forum. We have been noticing many liking ladders charging a joke of a rate for x amount of likes. Many people are just not knowledgeable on how this works. We were all new to it once.

Our page does do shout outs and we include pages in our liking ladders for x amount of time. We do not guarantee a certain amount of likes. However, our likes are targeted, majority is USA and speak English. That is the demographic we target.

I have gone to Fivver and spent the $5 to get x amount of fans. They all come for foreign countries are mainly college kids. That's how I learned the hard way. At least it was only $5.

However, our engagement is getting us sales from our Social media, at the moment it is mainly Facebook.

I agree targeted fans are what you want because it's like building a list of people who have interest in your business. Sometimes well known companies don't get attention because they don't have the public behind them. Sometimes it takes a little trickery until things can start producing on its own for you.

Buying FB likes is all about what your goal is. If you want targeted traffic then of course, organic is key. But if you want numbers, but good quality ones that stick then you can get these - at a small cost.

Your online marketing is about your end goals. 2 people with the same business, can have totally different strategies because their goals will be different!:p:p

Buying fake Facebook likes really only does one thing for you:

    1) Give you a larger volume of followers the REAL people view and think your brand is better recognized, more popular, etc.

A lot of people associate this with reputability.. including myself. If I see something posted on Facebook, and the page I visit has little to no likes, I am much more charged to make a decision if it has more likes... especially when it is a product or service.

Be careful though, because if the Facebook likes are added to quickly by the provider can potentially get your page banned. It has happened to people I know of, but if done right, and dispersed in various amounts daily, hourly, etc, it minimizes the risk.

In terms of anything else other than brand recognition - I absolutely does nothing for you.

    Hope this helps!

there is no point, there are very smart people working on sophisticated algorithms to separate genuine from fabricated. As an example just look at Googles release of penguin, many many sites where punished for using black hat tactics.

There will always be ways to get to the top fast but very few that will keep you there for any great length of time, as i said very smart people employed to combat this issue.

I read a story the beginning of 2011, here in the states a man with a family had build up a website and was earning enough money to go full time on the website, he quit his work to concentrate his efforts on the website, only months later the site lost its ranking, to cut the story short it resulted in him loosing everything even his family.

Always do things generic, genuine and honest. It may take that will longer but you will remain.

Honestly buying likes can never be a good idea unless you really need them to win competition or you want to land yourself in top comments. Its just a waste of money as bought traffic is never going to convert well.
90% of the people who tell you bought likes are good will either have no experience themselves or they'll be looking to sell likes. So before you believe someone who tells you a place you can buy good likes from make sure they have experience and they're one of the 10% who have experience.

It can be very cheap to purchase likes. It can cost as little as $5 for approximately 2000 likes.
But, if Facebook discover a lot of the fake accounts are attached to your page, there is a high possibility that they will take action against your page. Such actions may consist banning for a while or outright page deletion.
