How to get your first 1000 Facebook fan page likes?

I'm really just getting started with trying to get more Facebook fan page likes but what has worked for me is I posted something that is relevant to my business but funny, inspirational, thought provoking, etc. People are more likely to share something that's funny or interesting and then their friends see it and check out your page and may like it. This my be a slow way to get more likes but it beats paying for them!

Absolutely. meme's work well, but I find paying for likes is needed in the beginning to get the ball rolling. People are often hesitant to like a page that has 14 likes on it.

You can send them from your Blog by adding a link in the end of your posts, saying something like "Find me at FB" or "Read More at FB" or "Join me..." or whatever you may think.

Now if you want to stay inside FB, the only way to get FB likes related to your niche (not your relatives going after a viral post: "Can you count 1*0+8/2-4*1?" or stuff like this) is through FB ads.

If you have some time and just want to build up like number you can try twiends.com, these of course are not real likes but it's a start. Also try posting a job on getacoder.com or going to Fiverr:

in start you have to focus more on the page for getting more likes. do the following steps

post the status, try to post shortest status also as the shortest status will get more reach
create images having informative, interesting messages which motivate the users to like and share the images.
when you post image on the page, from page share this image on different groups (ur joined groups), your personal profile, and on the other pages having great number of like (If you have any page)
dear posting the images is very important to get more likes but images which are viral.

If you want get 1000 likes for your sites you should firstly foucus on your firend crecle becouse without help your friends it,s will be very hard for you, they might be helpful for you sites, other things is that you should foucus on your post content, post quality & other things.

Social media is all about sharing and getting involved and those are the main rules to gain likes legally and without paying for them.

Post your posts regularly and make sure they are short, catchy and interesting enough to be shared or at least commented.

Connect with similar groups. Contact their admins and see if they are interested in share4 share. It is a great way to gain likes with the minimum of effort. Also, some groups are adding admins from the other groups allowing them to post ontopic posts few times a day with the link to another page.

And don't forget to pay attention to your fans. Like their comments, appretiate their shares and be present.

If you'd like to speed up things a bit you can always create a small giveaway or a contest. It doesn't really matter if you are giving away a dinner, free drink or a free ebook, or just the first place on the virtual list, people love contests, games and giveaways.

You can like the pages similar to yours and leave valuable comments there, but don't spam. It can be a good source you can attract people and get likes.
From you ID add 10 - 15 friends daily, add the friends buy joining IM related groups and then searching for the members you can add and invite them to like your page. I used to like pages and asked them to like mine, and it worked.
Join as many groups, fanpages as you can per day. Spend some times on those groups and pages, this process may not be the fastest but also not the slowest.

marketers are very skeptical in liking a page..even if you invite them to like your page they won't do it..why?? I been asking that question myself, everyone of your friends in Facebook are marketers, but they won't help each other, also when you post an affiliate link they will browse straight to the website url instead of using your affiliate link...no one outhere wants you to succeed alone...so they want you to stay in the same losing field?...I believe you have to buy your likes... it's much better that way....

you have to post fresh content, images, videos and links on your page and engage the users with page and you will get more likes very soon. Invite your friends to like the page and ask them to invite their friends..

Just do it naturally try to suggest your page to your friends, then try to like some related pages and share their posts. Most importantly posts relevant and interesting posts.

Getting those first few hundred likes are always the hardest. Get friends/family and contacts to like the page first. You could also kindly ask them to share the page with people they know too. Once you have a reasonable number of likes, hold a contest where the person who gets the most people to like the page wins something. Or tell everyone to share the page with their friends for a chance to win "...".

Give people a reason to like your page and share your page. You could start by thinking about why you like the pages you do and then expanding that to what you offer on your page. If you want your friends and associates to like the page, send them a unique message as to why they should and what they will get out of it. For example,

Hi friend,

You have always liked funny memes (or anything else they like) and I thought you might get a good laugh each day by liking my Facebook page at fb/whatever. Thank you for doing this for me and I appreciate your time.

I am working giving quality content to both Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. I get lots of followers and likes. Also join interested groups that you are passionate in LinkedIn. This will help you get the Likes that you are wanting.

I would say the more content the better (without exceeding two posts a day). Make sure to post relevant and helpful links, so that people will have a reason to like your page. Try cross-promoting between social media platforms. As banwork said, memes tend to do well on facebook, but if it's unrelated to your niche, find other engaging articles or photos to post to your page. It can be tricky to grow your page to the first 1,000 likes, but it'll snowball from there.
