Facebook Account Disabled?

So I log in today and my facebook account has been disabled. Now they are asking for a photo id to get it reactivated. I used a Pseudo name for that account though so it's not going to match. I created a fanpage under that pseudo name and have been running ads on it.

Has anyone experienced this and been able to get their account reactivated?

You broke Facebooks TOS, you deserve to get your account suspended. The account is gone forever, and unless there is another admin of that fan page, its gone forever as well, in which case your ad spend was a waste of money.

What has happened to you clearly highlights why I tell people over and over and over again, DONT break Facebooks TOS. There is 100% no reason to create a fake account just to make a fan page, and there is every reason to just follow the rules. As you have just discovered.

Didn't think Facebook did that unless it was a spammer or cloned account someone must have made some sort of complaint. You could scan an id and get it changed in photoshop but that would be highly illegal and unethical :0

Did the Facebook powers that be give you a reason?

Move on from it and learn from the mistake would probably be your best bet.

      They told me this...

      "Account Disabled
Sorry, your account has been temporarily disabled as a security precaution. Please contact us so we can help you resolve this issue as quickly as possible."

I had no idea it was against TOS.

What happens to the ads I was in the middle of running? I had a 50 facebook coupon I was using. They're not going to keep running my ads until that coupon runs out are they?

If you break there TOS they will ban you. Seems kind of self evident.

Not so sure its a good idea to tell him to break FB's TOS again.

        First thing in there TOS:
You will not provide any false personal information on Facebook, or create an account for anyone other than yourself without permission.

        Second thing in there TOS:
You will not create more than one personal account.

Third thing in there TOS (relevant to that guy who told you to make another account)
If we disable your account, you will not create another one without our permission.

And to answer your question about the ad coupon. While I cant say for sure because I dont break there TOS (since I make money from them it would be silly of me to do that) .. Im going to say that Im sure that they wont run the ads anymore and that the coupon is gone,

So you guys think I'm better off creating a fan page on my own real name without explaining to FB that I didn't break they TOS on purpose or should I explain to them the situation and then set it up on my own FB?

I would not waste any time explaining anything to Facebook. I mean they have a billion accounts. Just think of the number of accounts the ban every day. It must be thousands. Heck they could ban 10,000 a day and it would still take them 272 years before they banned everyone. Not saying they would ever ban anyone, just saying that its unlikely that Facebook has time to 'hear your story' and even if they did they probably wouldnt care simply because your just a super small part of FB and they probably heard every story in the book ever.

Now about making a new correct page. Well thats a grey area since once you get an account banned your not suppose to make another one. But technically you never had a true and personal account for the real you so IDK about that.

IF you decide to make a new FB account, be 100% sure that it is in your real and proper identity.

Thanks, yeah, i'm just going to create it under the account that I've had up in my own name for years. Sucks about that FB Coupon though. I have a new bank card coming in the mail. I should be able to use that one to get a new coupon, you think?

I had the same issue long time ago, I tried so many things but finally I had to create a new ID. Now I am much careful about what I do and always keep in mind the TOS.

Why do you think they disabled your account in the first place?
